Little Pond Mountain Campground is located at 3266 US-321 Scenic, Butler, TN 37640, USA. This address places it along a scenic route in the mountainous region of Eastern Tennessee, close to the picturesque Watauga Lake. The term "off the beaten path" accurately describes its setting, offering a secluded feel that appeals to those looking to truly get away from it all.
While its remote location contributes to its quiet charm, it's important to note that cell service at the campground is limited or non-existent, a common characteristic in mountainous areas. This means preparedness is key, particularly regarding initial access. The campground operates with a gate that requires a code for entry. However, once connected with owner Jeff, he is responsive and helpful in providing necessary access information and support. Despite the initial communication hurdle for some, its location makes it a decent option for those attending local events, such as weddings, seeking nearby camper accommodation.

Customer Reviews
The location was great if you like an off the beaten path style stay. We were attending a wedding and decided to stay in our camper nearby which is how we ended up here. The rates were decent, and the campground had a quaint charm to it, but it was lacking in other areas. Firstly there is no service at the campground. No problems there, we’re in the mountains, I just wish the email confirmation would have stated that along with a gate code to circumvent the initial confusion. When we arrived we realized a gate code was needed to enter. We checked emails and, no code. Decided to swing over to Shirley’s (an adjacent restaurant, now closed) to see if wifi was available in order to call. We got ahold of the owner Jeff who texted over the gate code and wifi info. Now that it was handled we headed over to site #5. We began to set up only to immediately step in dog poop. Enormous amounts of dog poop surrounded the power, water and septic hook ups. While cleaning off our shoes in the outdoor shower I noticed bent nails in the gravel. Backing up one more foot and the RV tire would have definitely been punctured. It was so frustrating to run into these issues as we really enjoyed the area and concept. After setting up camp, Jeff texted that he didn’t see payment. We then had to send confirmation over and he said that he did in fact see it. It’s one of those ‘you get what you pay for’ places. Wish I had better things to say but whoever is responsible for the upkeep truly needs to take better care of the property and management needs to send out codes, etc prior to arrival.
This is a quiet safe family friendly kind of place great prices on the lake great ppl Jeff and his family and employees treat everyone like family always willing to help with anything they offer a clean shower and bath house Laudry room hiking trails horse shoe pit &corn hole a nice communal area 20 full hook up sights a a few primitive tent sights I would definitely recommend the stay they also offer a cabin rental and a big bell tent rental also so if your looking for an rv sight tent sight or cabin rental I highly recommend them !!!!!!!
very clean kat the camp host is very nice and goes out of her way to help ! The only thing I don’t like is the traffic that comes in and out after hours I think they should close the gates at ten to prevent the loud cars and trucks from entering after hours
Owner operated with some tasty food options in walking distance. Small and quiet park with a clean bathroom. 10/10 would stay here again.
Muddy retirement home: Whole place is a mud pit..slipping and sliding... Fell several times while walking. Had to plug tires 5x due to picking up nails and screws (campground used to be a junkyard). Sites aren't level and greywater tank wouldn't drain. No fun to be had here, Its prohibited. I personally seen the manager stop campers from setting off fireworks on July 4th. Kids on "playground" told to shut up. Wifi hardly EVER worked. Owner sent letters to campers stating it wasn't a trailer park...which means he thinks of campers there as trailer park trash. After leaving, owner attempts criminal trespass on those wishing to come back and visit friends still camped there. You won't like it...no one there does.
