LIVE OAKS MOBILE FAMILY COMMUNITY PARK About

Introduction / Overview

For Alabamians seeking a place to call home, whether in a mobile home or an RV, LIVE OAKS MOBILE FAMILY COMMUNITY PARK in Summerdale, AL, might appear as an option. Located at 15914 Red Star Dr, Summerdale, AL 36580, USA, this community aims to provide living spaces in a family-oriented environment. Situated in the heart of Baldwin County, Summerdale offers a quieter, more rural pace of life while still being within reach of the vibrant Alabama Gulf Coast. The name "Family Community Park" suggests a focus on creating a residential environment for families, likely offering both permanent mobile home lots and potentially spaces for RVs looking for longer-term stays.

However, it is crucial for prospective residents and RVers to be fully informed about the actual living experience, as recent customer reviews paint a picture of significant challenges. Feedback highlights serious concerns about noise, disrespect among neighbors, persistent issues requiring law enforcement intervention, difficulties with property maintenance (including mold and appliance malfunctions), and disputes with management regarding evictions and deposits. While the intent may be to create a peaceful family community, the reality, according to these direct accounts, can be far from it. This overview will delve into the publicly available information, including these critical reviews, to provide a factual and realistic assessment of LIVE OAKS MOBILE FAMILY COMMUNITY PARK, enabling locals to make the most informed decision possible.

Location and Accessibility

LIVE OAKS MOBILE FAMILY COMMUNITY PARK is situated at 15914 Red Star Dr, Summerdale, AL 36580, USA. Summerdale, a town in Baldwin County, Alabama, is known for its relatively quiet, rural setting, offering a contrast to the bustling coastal cities like Gulf Shores and Orange Beach. This location might appeal to those seeking a more relaxed environment away from heavy tourist traffic, yet still wanting reasonable access to the region's attractions.

From this Summerdale address, residents and guests would find themselves within a moderate driving distance of various points of interest. The beautiful white-sand beaches of Gulf Shores and Orange Beach are typically a 25-30 minute drive away, making day trips to the coast feasible for beach outings, fishing, and watersports. Local amenities, including grocery stores, gas stations, and some dining options in Summerdale and nearby Foley (home to the popular Tanger Outlets and OWA Parks & Resort), are generally within a 10-15 minute drive. The park's address on Red Star Drive suggests access via local roads within Summerdale. While its rural setting can contribute to a sense of peace, it's also important to consider that daily errands and access to a wider range of services would necessitate vehicle travel. For those accustomed to the pace of life in rural Alabama, the location might be convenient, offering a balance between quiet living and access to coastal leisure.

Services Offered

Based on the provided information, LIVE OAKS MOBILE FAMILY COMMUNITY PARK is primarily a residential community offering spaces for mobile homes and potentially long-term RV stays. As such, the "services offered" are more akin to those found in a residential park than a transient RV campground. However, the customer reviews indicate significant issues with the quality and reliability of these services and the overall living environment.

  • Mobile Home Lots: The park provides spaces for mobile homes, implying utility hookups (water, sewer, electricity) are available at each lot. However, one review explicitly mentions severe issues with mold, water intrusion, and malfunctioning appliances (dishwasher, hood vent, cooling vent) within a mobile home, suggesting significant maintenance and habitability problems.
  • RV Spaces (Implied Long-Term): While not explicitly detailed as a short-term RV park, the "Family Community Park" designation and typical mobile home park models often include spaces for long-term RV residents. Full hookups would be expected for these sites.
  • Park Management: There is on-site park management, as indicated by a resident's account of a "heated argument with the park manager." The quality of management and their responsiveness to resident complaints are severely questioned in the reviews, with allegations of eviction threats despite unresolved maintenance issues and refusal to return deposits.
  • Community Amenities (Implied/Questioned): The term "Family Community Park" suggests shared amenities for residents, such as play areas or common spaces. However, a review mentions "kids play basketball ball at 11:30 at night and roam the streets," implying a lack of supervised recreational facilities or enforcement of quiet hours. The overall environment is described as "getting trashy with junk in the yards," which directly contradicts the idea of a well-maintained community.
  • Utilities: Basic utilities (water, electricity, sewer) are presumed to be available at the lots for residents. However, the review detailing mold issues points to fundamental failures in the infrastructure allowing water intrusion.

It is critical for anyone considering this park to understand that while a list of services might be implied by its nature, the actual execution and maintenance of these services, along with the responsiveness of management, appear to be significant points of concern for current and past residents based on the provided feedback.

Features / Highlights

Based on the provided customer reviews, identifying positive "features" or "highlights" of LIVE OAKS MOBILE FAMILY COMMUNITY PARK proves challenging, as the feedback is overwhelmingly negative and points to severe issues. Instead of traditional highlights, it's more accurate to discuss the intended or potential features that, according to residents, are not being met:

  • Family Community Concept (Unrealized): The name "Family Community Park" suggests a friendly, cohesive environment suitable for families. However, reviews indicate a breakdown of this concept due to "loud" and "disrespectful" neighbors, lack of quiet hours, and children "roam the streets" late at night, leading to a "not peaceful place to live."
  • Affordable Living (Questionable Value): While mobile home parks can often offer more affordable housing solutions, the significant issues reported (mold, non-functional appliances, eviction disputes, junk in yards) suggest that the "value" proposition is severely undermined by poor living conditions and management practices. One resident stated, "I put $5,800.00 down on this place and again I was told things were being resolved. Then I get a letter saying I'm evicted... I was refused this money until I left," indicating significant financial distress and a lack of fair treatment.
  • Quiet Place (Contradicted by Reviews): Initially, a resident found the place "quiet," implying a potential for peace. However, this quickly deteriorated due to "continuously have sheriff called out" and "loud" neighbors, negating this as a consistent highlight.
  • Location in Summerdale: The park's geographical location in Summerdale offers proximity to Baldwin County's natural beauty and coastal attractions. However, the internal issues of the park seem to overshadow any benefits of its external location for residents.

It is vital for any prospective resident or long-term RVer to recognize that the provided customer feedback strongly indicates that the park currently fails to deliver on the fundamental features expected of a comfortable and safe residential community.

Promotions or Special Offers

Based on the provided customer reviews, there is no mention of any promotions, special offers, or discounts being offered by LIVE OAKS MOBILE FAMILY COMMUNITY PARK. As a mobile home and long-term RV community, rather than a transient campground, it is less likely to have seasonal vacation promotions. Its pricing structure would typically involve lot rent for mobile homes or long-term RV site fees, likely paid monthly or on a long-term lease basis.

The reviews focus heavily on fundamental issues with the living conditions, management, and tenant disputes, rather than financial incentives. The concern raised by a resident about a significant deposit and refusal to return it during an eviction dispute further suggests that financial practices might be a point of contention rather than a source of "offers."

For any inquiries regarding pricing, deposits, or any potential long-term stay arrangements, direct contact with the park management would be necessary. However, prospective residents should proceed with extreme caution and thoroughly verify all terms and conditions, especially those related to deposits, leases, and park rules, given the severe negative feedback on management practices and financial disputes.

Contact Information

For individuals seeking to inquire further about LIVE OAKS MOBILE FAMILY COMMUNITY PARK, the following contact information has been provided. Given the nature of the customer reviews, it is highly advisable to approach any communication with specific questions regarding the current conditions, management policies, and any details about tenancy agreements, particularly concerning maintenance responsibilities and deposit refunds.

  • Address: 15914 Red Star Dr, Summerdale, AL 36580, USA
  • Primary Phone: (251) 406-3983
  • Mobile Phone: +1 251-406-3983

When contacting the park, consider documenting all communications, including dates, times, and names of individuals spoken to. If considering a long-term commitment, it would be prudent to request a written copy of all rules, regulations, and lease agreements for thorough review by a legal professional if necessary, especially in light of the eviction and deposit disputes mentioned in customer feedback.

Conclusion: Why this place is suitable for locals

Based on the overwhelmingly negative and severe customer reviews provided, it is difficult to factually conclude that LIVE OAKS MOBILE FAMILY COMMUNITY PARK is "suitable" for locals in Alabama, particularly for those seeking a peaceful, well-maintained, or professionally managed living environment. The primary issues highlighted by residents—constant disturbances, sheriff involvement, lack of respect among neighbors, children roaming unsupervised late at night, significant unaddressed mold and maintenance problems within homes, and reported unprofessional and contentious interactions with management regarding evictions and deposits—present a picture that fundamentally contradicts the notion of a desirable "family community park."

While the location in Summerdale offers proximity to various Alabama Gulf Coast attractions, the internal living conditions as described by residents appear to severely diminish any external benefits. For locals seeking a place to establish a home, whether in a mobile home or an RV, the reported issues of neglected maintenance (mold, non-working appliances), unsafe and noisy conditions, and particularly the disputes over deposits and evictions, suggest a high level of risk and potential distress. A suitable living environment should provide basic safety, peace, and habitability, along with fair and responsive management. According to the provided customer feedback, LIVE OAKS MOBILE FAMILY COMMUNITY PARK, at this time, appears to fall significantly short of these fundamental requirements. Therefore, for any local considering this community, extreme caution, thorough personal investigation, and verification of all stated conditions and agreements are absolutely essential before making any commitment.

Seemed to be a quiet place when I first moved here but the neighbors across from me continuously have sheriff called out for some unknown reason , they're loud and have no respect for neighbors , they've even got into a heated argument with the park manager, the kids play basketball ball at 11:30 at night and roam the streets , it's not a peaceful place to live and I've seen quiet people get evicted but these people somehow manage not to be evicted when they should, me and several other people in my area are sick of it and are ready to move , and it's getting trashy with junk in the yards, man what is give to go back and not have ever moved here when I did 😭😭

Don't move to this place. The well water has rust in it and no telling what else. It needs to be serviced. And the inside of the trailers are fixer up projects. I have been slowly fixing up the inside. But there is a bad septic backup problem and at the signing I was told the owner would take care of that. I have asked a few times for it to be cleaned out and so far they just tell me to call a Plummer. I did call a Plummer and they don't do septic work. This place is a joke. Drive right by this place, don't stop!! Correction..... Meant Magnolia Oaks Trailer park
