If you're a local Texan seeking a peaceful retreat or a convenient base for work in the area, Medina River RV Park provides a compelling option.
Unlike some of the larger, more bustling RV resorts, Medina River RV Park prides itself on offering a quieter, more secluded experience, described as "country, quiet, and in a very peaceful secluded place." Many guests, including those on long-term assignments, have expressed high satisfaction, even going so far as to "definitely stay again." The park's focus on providing a comfortable and secure environment is evident in its features and the positive feedback it receives.
The park is particularly well-suited for extended stays, catering to "long term RV'ers and retirees" as well as those with contract-based work. Its commitment to providing a secure and well-managed property, coupled with reasonable rates, positions it as a valuable resource for locals across various needs. We'll explore the specifics of Medina River RV Park, from its prime location to its essential services and distinct features, all tailored to help Texans discover their next ideal RV destination.
---Medina River RV Park is strategically located at 2172 Co Rd 4713, Lacoste, TX 78039, USA. Lacoste is a small, quiet community situated in Medina County, within the picturesque Texas Hill Country. This location offers the best of both worlds: the peace and quiet of a rural setting, combined with reasonable accessibility to larger towns and cities. Its proximity to the Medina River provides a natural and appealing backdrop for your stay, offering opportunities for outdoor activities.
The park's address on a county road means it’s slightly off the main thoroughfares, contributing to its secluded and tranquil atmosphere, yet it remains easily reachable. Lacoste is not far from major highways, providing convenient routes for RVers traveling through South Central Texas. This accessibility is crucial for those in the oil field industry who need to commute to work sites, as well as for families looking for a weekend escape without an arduous journey.
Being in Medina County also places guests within reach of local amenities, including small-town shops, gas stations, and eateries in Lacoste or nearby communities. Furthermore, the greater San Antonio area is a manageable drive away, offering extensive options for shopping, dining, entertainment, and medical facilities. This balance makes Medina River RV Park an excellent base for exploring the region or for establishing a stable residence while working in the area.
---Medina River RV Park focuses on providing comprehensive and essential services to ensure a comfortable and hassle-free stay for all its guests, particularly those on extended visits. Their full hookup sites are designed to meet all your RV utility needs, complementing the overall convenience of the park.
These services underscore the park's commitment to providing practical and necessary amenities for both short-term travelers and those looking for a longer-term residence, emphasizing utility and ease of living.
---Medina River RV Park boasts several features and highlights that enhance the guest experience, setting it apart as a preferred destination for many Texans:
These features collectively create an inviting environment that balances practical needs with opportunities for recreation and relaxation, making it a well-rounded choice for diverse RV lifestyles.
---Medina River RV Park offers clear and competitive pricing structures designed to accommodate various lengths of stay, which implicitly serve as a form of promotion for longer-term guests. Their rates are transparently published, indicating how savings can be achieved:
While specific "promotions" beyond these tiered rates are not explicitly listed, the value offered through their long-term pricing and included amenities, like free laundry for monthly stays, serves as a significant incentive. Guests are encouraged to contact the park directly to confirm current rates and discuss any specific needs or potential availability for extended stays, as rates are based on two people per site and two vehicles, with additional charges for extra persons or vehicles.

It's always best to call ahead, especially for monthly reservations which typically require a deposit to secure your spot.
---For Texans, Medina River RV Park offers a compelling and highly suitable option for a variety of RVing needs, whether it's a short recreational escape or a long-term residential solution. Its appeal to the local community stems from a combination of practical benefits and an inviting atmosphere that resonates with Texan values.
Firstly, the park's location in Lacoste, within the beautiful Texas Hill Country, provides a serene and peaceful environment that many locals seek to unwind and reconnect with nature. The direct access to the Medina River for fishing, kayaking, and relaxation is a significant draw, offering recreational opportunities right at their doorstep. This natural setting, combined with spacious RV lots, ensures a comfortable and uncrowded experience, a welcome contrast to more commercialized parks.
Secondly, for Texans who might be working on temporary projects, particularly in the thriving oil field sector, the park’s long-term stay options and competitive monthly rates, including amenities like free on-site laundry, make it an incredibly practical and cost-effective choice. The emphasis on security, with features like security gates, provides peace of mind for residents and their belongings. The "nice and easy to get along with" owners, along with the park being veteran and family-owned, contributes to a friendly and supportive community feel that many Texans appreciate. Medina River RV Park truly offers a balance of tranquil living, essential conveniences, and a welcoming environment, making it an excellent choice for locals seeking their next RV adventure or home base in the Lone Star State.

Stayed here for a couple months and was very impressed by the area and the price. Owners were nice and easy to get along with. Onsite laundry and security gates are a nice touch. I'll definitely stay again if I'm in the area
Apr 28, 2024 · jarred brothertonI write a lot of reviews of my experiences of places that I have been. This review will be different. So please read on. We work for the oil field company, and upon searching in this area, we found this park that we really wanted to stay at. I contacted them, and they emailed us the contract right away. However, we did not meet the contracts agreement, sadly, but we understood the reason as to why the contract exists. This must be a very nice place to stay, so please, if you are looking for a place to park your home for a while or month to month, I would highly recommend you call them.
May 03, 2023 · Kathleen JVery quiet place although more slots were recently added and more people have come it's still quiet and tranquil. Doesn't have things like a laundry mat but has a washer and dryer that are available for use The running river brings a calm to your soul. The owners send out a monthly news letter and have appreciation bbqs which I thought was pretty cool. I love the location and I love that you can leave things out and no one takes them and the neighbors watch for you when your away. I just hope it doesn't get to many more slots as it will begin to feel like I am in town and the whole reason I chose this park was for the country, open feel if it.
Nov 02, 2021 · Vikki TurnerI was there for 4 months. I absolutely loved it for 3 of the 4 months. Susan was extremely nice and friendly. The location is amazing. The river is a marvelous thing to have available to you during the summer months. Unfortunately, the park quality itself has been slowly deteriorating and the front of the park is completely trashed. There are no written contracts or rules. I wasn’t an absolute perfect tenant. There was a few nights throughout the months where 5-6 of the spots got together and enjoyed the evening, maybe a little too much, down by the river. She eventually sent a text message to the current tenants stating the quiet hours, which we followed After being notified. After the quiet hours were set, her son refused to follow them in the park. So even after “quite hours” in the evenings, you may hear a tractor, a 4 wheeler, or even a street bike revving or flying down the adjacent road. Towards the end of my stay, Susan appeared to be more agitated and less friendly, despite my best efforts to go the extra mile to be a good tenant. So if you have a professional disagreement with Susan, which happened to me, she will most likely evict you through a text message the following day without a refund (as of yet). After our disagreement (which happened over text...) She never once spoke with me in person even after I requested to. In addition, our discussions over text were very unprofessional, with her using profanity and behaving in a childish manor. I have still not received a refund for half the month I was evicted. There was no damage or any reason to hold the remaining rent money. If you want to visit. It’s a nice place. But I wouldn’t recommend staying there for more than a few days. the owner keeps changing her response. While I don’t appreciate her allegations in a public forum, I feel this review is necessary.
Feb 06, 2020 · Anthony GalataVisited this RV park today with my little family for the first time. Upon arrival we were told the park was already full but luckily enough there ended up being a spot available. (Table 3) I must say we REALLY enjoyed ourselves! Beautiful place and very clean. It's very secluded and peaceful. A nice little getaway from the city. The lady and the gentleman we spoke to were very nice and attentive. My family and I had a blast and will definitely be returning. Made beautiful memories today. Thankyou for welcoming me and my family. We can't wait to go back!
