Introduction / Overview
For Vermonters seeking the gold standard in a local RV camping experience, Mountain View Campground in Morristown is the destination of choice. This family-owned and operated private RV resort, nestled along the scenic Lamoille River, is far more than just a parking spot for your recreational vehicle; it is a meticulously maintained, amenity-rich retreat. Since Patrick and Erin acquired the property in 2018, they have transformed it into a place known statewide for its exceptional cleanliness, modern facilities, and dedicated hospitality—qualities that resonate deeply with local expectations.
Mountain View Campground focuses exclusively on providing a high-quality experience for RVers and cabin guests, featuring 50 full hookup RV sites and four cabin rentals. This commitment to quality over quantity ensures every part of the park, from the sites to the two swimming pools, is continuously pristine and well-kept. The owners, as long-time campers themselves, understand what travelers truly need: spacious sites, immaculate restrooms, and a friendly, safe environment. Guests are considered "summer regulars" and "seasonals" who return year after year, citing the safe environment, the well-monitored grounds, and the owners' non-stop dedication to keeping the resort pristine. For those who own an RV in Vermont, or are simply looking for a 'staycation' home base to explore the north, Mountain View Campground offers a blend of natural riverside beauty and resort-level comfort that is unparalleled in the region.
It is widely considered an excellent, small, and well-run campground, making it a highly desirable place to book for a genuine and relaxing Vermont adventure. It is a place that truly encourages you to enjoy, relax, and explore the best of what the Green Mountain State has to offer.

My family and I have been coming to mountain view since October 2018, not too long after Patrick and Erin acquired it. We are summer regulars. Everything in the campground is well maintained, from the clean sites, the bathrooms, and two pools. They also have shuffle board and mini golf. The store is stocked with RV essentials and more. Patrick has a curated Vermont beer cooler that has all the favorites plus a few that may surprise you. The river is stunning, not only to tube down but for it's gorgeous sunsets. Campground is dog friendly. The seasonals are great. The campground is safe and is well monitored to make sure it remains that way. Our kids also love the new playground! The snack bar across the street is a fun bonus! Overall, we love it there and the people that run it.
Aug 22, 2025 · William WelzMy family and I stayed at this campground for a week this summer and, no exaggeration, it is the best campground I've ever stayed at. The bathrooms and facilities were the cleanest I've ever seen. The sites were well maintained and had nice gravel areas to park your RV that opens up to grass. The sites were very spacious and the campground itself isn't huge, so no matter where you were in the park, you were close to everything. The river access for tubing (we brought our own tubes) and the snack bar across the street were lovely bonuses. Lots of things to do in the area as well. We did a horse and buggy ride on a maple farm and went blueberry picking locally. We were also able to drive to Stowe and walk around the down town. We even found an Emergency vet (Our dog had an issue while we were there and there was an Emergency Vet 8 min away). My husband and I tried to convince the rest of the family to come back next year we liked it so much.
Sep 02, 2025 · Jill BarbehennWhat a great campground. Friendly staff, well manicured sites, clean laundry room and restrooms, utilities worked well. Would highly recommend. If in the area again would not hesitate to stay here again. Stayed September 21-24, 2025.
Sep 24, 2025 · DawnieThis is a gem hidden in Vermont, and it is most definitely worth the stay. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the location is amazing!! Easy access to the river with options for tubing, mini golf, shuffle board, two pools, a hot tub, and other games of sorts. The shop at the campground had everything you would need, and the restrooms were the cleanest of all the public restrooms I've ever seen. Amazing place!!!! 👏
Jul 25, 2025 · Victor SpohnheimerWe have been living about 10 miles away for 15 years and I've never considered coming to this campground before this trip. What a wonderful and unexpected experience. The campground is beyond clean, clean, clean clean we found the staff to be quite friendly and accommodating. the store is well stocked and directly across the street is a snack shop Down the road just about a mile and a half is grocery stores and pharmacies, etc.. You're right on the river and while on a main road it's actually very peaceful and quiet and you cannot see the road so you do really feel like you are in further into the woods how anybody could give this campground less than five stars blows my mind.
