Promotions or Special Offers

As a generally quieter, more rustic campground, Norway Lake Campground, being part of a forest recreation area, may not typically offer extensive seasonal promotions in the same way private campgrounds might. However, Michiganders interested in potential savings or unique opportunities should consider the following:

  • Off-Season Rates: Camping during the shoulder seasons (late spring or early fall) can often provide a more secluded experience and potentially lower rates compared to peak summer.
  • Long-Stay Discounts: While not always advertised, some public campgrounds might offer slightly reduced rates for extended stays (e.g., weekly rates). It's worth inquiring when making reservations.
  • Senior Pass/America the Beautiful Pass: If Norway Lake Campground is managed by a federal agency (like the U.S. Forest Service), holders of relevant national park passes (such as the America the Beautiful – National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Senior Pass) may be eligible for camping fee discounts. It's crucial to verify if this applies to Norway Lake Campground specifically.
  • Group Site Availability: If planning a trip with multiple families or a large group, inquire about designated group sites, which can sometimes offer a more economical option per person.

For the most accurate and up-to-date information on any available offers or special rates, it is always recommended to contact Norway Lake Campground directly via phone or consult official Michigan DNR or U.S. Forest Service websites if it falls under their management.

Spent a few days camping here in late September and there were only a couple other campers. Just how we like it - nice and quiet. Campsites were nice and fairly large

A fairly standard USFS campground. Amenities are light and often rustic. You won't have tons of neighbors usually but it can be busy near holiday weekends. The lake isn't too shabby for paddling on with nice forests around it. Bonus hiking trails too!

Nice small lake, good for small oats and jet skis. Sometimes the campers here are a little rowdier than desired

As others have said, if you aren't into rustic camping, don't bother. Beautiful sites with Jack pine and nice lake views. Of the 3 campgrounds in the area, this is the heaviest used. The old CCC shelter is really neat and used to have a payphone back in the day. To reiterate, no showers, old well water, and bugs a plenty. I love it!
