I've spent the last two summers here and it's been a wonderful experience. William the manager/owner is one of the most caring and helpful human beings you could ask for. His brother Ben runs a fire wood business for everyone to enjoy. He's a handicap adult who would give you the shirt off his back to help you out. Thank you to the Paulson family for the service they provide for visitors to the Springfield SD area to enjoy the back waters of the Gavin's point dam. While you're in the area check out the must play golf course overlooking the Missouri River. Also the Springfield pub for great food and drinks.
Dec 10, 2024 · JB KBWe stayed for 2 nights in site 1. The park is small, and setup for long term residents with a few spots for transient guests. I really appreciate the communication ahead of checking in. They ask to confrim arrival within 1 -2 days and then they give you a site number. I also received very detailed instructions on where the site was and best way to get there which I appreciated. It was very clear the electrical for our site was recently updated. It had a new power box w/ 50A, 30A and 15A outlets. Water pressure was also good and there is a sewer connection. There isnt much to do in the area, but it was perfect for us as a rest point on our route. There is an elementry school across the street, so you can enjoy the playground when school is out for the day.
