For those who embrace the RV lifestyle, finding the perfect park that combines convenience with tranquility is key to a memorable experience. Nestled in the rural charm of Wagram, Pine Lake RV Resort presents itself as a potential haven for RVers seeking a peaceful and well-equipped place to stay. This article is designed specifically for North Carolina locals and visitors, providing a clear, engaging, and factual overview of Pine Lake RV Resort, highlighting its features and what makes it a suitable choice for your next RV adventure.

Introduction / Overview

Pine Lake RV Resort is a tranquil and aesthetically pleasing RV park located in Wagram, North Carolina, offering a serene escape for those traveling in their recreational vehicles. The resort is designed to provide a comfortable and peaceful environment, making it a "hidden gem" as described by happy customers. Spanning 100 acres, it is surrounded on three sides by North Carolina Wildlife Resources land, ensuring a strong connection with nature and a sense of seclusion. The presence of three lakes and running creeks further enhances its natural beauty, creating a picturesque setting for your stay. For RVers, this means access to well-maintained sites within a quiet, natural backdrop, away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Whether you're planning a short-term stopover or considering a longer stay, Pine Lake RV Resort aims to offer a relaxing and enjoyable experience, emphasizing peace and natural beauty over a highly commercialized atmosphere. This makes it particularly appealing to those North Carolina residents who prioritize a quiet retreat with their RVs.

Location and Accessibility

The location of Pine Lake RV Resort is a key aspect of its appeal, offering a blend of natural seclusion and reasonable accessibility to nearby towns and attractions. The resort is situated at 32482 Hill Creek Rd, Wagram, NC 28396, USA, placing it in Robeson County, North Carolina.

Its positioning amidst North Carolina's long-leaf pine trees and bordering state wildlife land contributes significantly to its "quiet and peaceful" atmosphere, as highlighted by guests. This natural setting means you're truly getting away from it all, enjoying fresh air and the sounds of nature.

Despite its secluded feel, Pine Lake RV Resort is conveniently located for access. Directions indicate it's "15 miles north on 15-501" from Laurinburg and "10 miles south on 15-501" from Aberdeen, with a final "two (2) miles east on Hillcreek Road." This demonstrates that while it's off the main highway, it's easily reachable from significant routes. This accessibility makes it a viable option for RVers traveling through North Carolina or those looking for a quiet weekend getaway from cities like Fayetteville or Raleigh. The resort is also "minutes from the Pinehurst area golf courses" and "within 45 minutes of the Carolina Horse Park at Five Points, North Carolina Zoo, North Carolina (Rockingham) Motor Speedway, Fort Bragg, and Pope Air Force Base." This means that while you enjoy the tranquility of the park, a variety of recreational activities and larger amenities are still within a reasonable driving distance. However, it's worth noting one past review mentioned a less than ideal check-in experience, highlighting the importance of clear communication with the management, especially for those considering a long-term stay. Despite that, its general location offers a balanced mix of natural beauty and convenient access to local attractions for North Carolina travelers.

  • Support for Troops: One review noted, "They strongly support our troops!!", indicating a welcoming environment for military personnel.

It is important to acknowledge a past negative review regarding a check-in experience, where a visitor felt "belittled" and subjected to "personal questions" about income and camper year, suggesting inconsistency in front-desk interactions. While one positive review praised the "Owner/Manager" as "wonderful," prospective long-term renters should be prepared for detailed inquiries and ensure clear communication.

  • Extended Stay Rates: While specific monthly rates vary and require direct inquiry (as implied by the detailed questions asked in one review), many RV parks offer reduced rates for weekly, monthly, or seasonal stays, which can be significantly more economical than nightly rates.
  • No Tent Camping or Rental Unit Discounts: The Passport America discount specifically states it is "not valid for tent camping or rental units," implying it's primarily for RV site stays.

Stop by there to check the place out & get some info. As i pulled over at the stop sign for guest to check in, a women came out drove over on her gulf cart to me asking if she could help me. Told her i was stoping by to check it all out & see if they had monthly rental spots, i was asked right there what year my camper was, had to show a picture of it. As i did she oh that's a nice camper. Asked if they allow pets, told her dogs, reply well do they have a leash? Well yes ma'am. Do you have vet paper's, yes ma'am i have there rabies tags & papers. I said well could you tell me how much for the month. Went in office to speak with a different women & some gentleman was in there. These two women in the office really belittled my son & I, acting like we wasnt good enough to stay there at there camp site. Asking all kinda personal questions, asking to see pay stubs & all. Telling us we had to make 3 times the amonth of the monthly rate. I sure saw where it was going, so just turned around & left. As i was walking out the 1 lady says Sorry.. No ma'am sorry for you. As you had no idea i was going to pay for 6 months up front.. I really truely don't like how people act like others arent good enough enough. I have never been to a camp site where they ask you personal questions like these 2 did to use today & i have stay at camp sites from NC to Fl..

“Nice people” We paid for a FHU but didn't get a site w/ sewer, didn't notice right away but stayed and used dump station in morning since didn't want to move. Nice friendly folks, didn't realize the pool till it was closed, look big and clean. Don't expect fancy or whiny liberals here these are proud americans. Gave 4 stars only b/c we didn't get the PA discount due to the US OPEN (guess its a golf thing?) but she even said I know you aren't going since you are only staying one night. Killed me to pay $50 for a night here but I was safe and God Bless America !

We are getting ready to leave, but had to leave a review. It was a great getaway with large spaces. The owner is nice and easy to work with. Also staff members Gina and Tony are awesome! Super helpful and quick to respond. Very clean, and plenty of places to walk my dogs. If I had one critique I would say that the political flags and paraphernalia are unwelcoming no matter what affiliation you are. It was off putting to have their personal opinion all over. However I would stay here again.

If you love the outdoors but also close proximity to a city this campground is perfect! The campsite are large and have their own picnic table and fire ring. There is also laundry onsite - bring your quarters! There's a decent size man made like occupied by 6 ducks and during the cold months about a dozen Canadian geese. There are roughly 200 acres of land to explore. Tons of trails that are marked and lit with solar lights at night. I took my dog on walks every morning off leash. You can also take your side by side, 4 wheeler and golf cart down the trails as well. Want more? There's also a gun range! There is wifi in each cabin that you can access from the rv sites though I would recommend purchasing a wifi extender for an extra boost. There is an abundance of firewood available to purchase whenever you like and you bundle it yourself. The campground is mostly quiet and relaxing. There are several military residents, short and long term folks on site and repeat campers. All of our neighbors were beyond friendly and helpful when we encountered an issue with our camper (our fault). Vicki is so accommodating and flexible as our check out date was in the air due to my husbands job. There are two small towns we frequented about 20-25 minutes away - Aberdeen and Southern Pines. They have everything you need and more. Grocery stores, home improvement, restaurants, shops, bars, parks and more. Highly recommend this RV park if you love the outdoors lifestyle!
