Plum Creek RV Resort distinguishes itself with several key features and highlights that make it a compelling option for Texans seeking an RV park experience in Central Texas. These attributes, often praised by residents, contribute to its unique appeal:

  • Exceptional Management and Community Feel: A consistent highlight from reviews is the "nice, friendly" management, who are described as "helpful" and willing "to lend you a hand." This creates a "quiet little neighborhood" atmosphere, fostering a sense of community and support among residents, which is highly valued in an RV park setting.
  • Affordable Long-Term Rates with Electricity Included: For Texans planning extended stays, the "low rate with electricity included" is a significant financial advantage. This makes budgeting predictable and offers excellent value compared to parks where electricity is metered separately.
  • Prime I-35 Location: The resort's direct access to Interstate 35 is a major practical benefit. This ensures convenient and quick travel to Austin, San Antonio, and other Central Texas attractions, minimizing commute times.
  • Pet-Friendly Policy: Being "pet friendly" is a crucial highlight for many RVers who travel with their beloved animals, providing a welcoming environment for the entire family.
  • On-Site Amenities for Relaxation: The presence of a swimming pool offers a vital amenity for recreation and cooling off during the hot Texas summers. Additionally, the availability of cable TV and Wi-Fi ensures entertainment and connectivity.
  • Natural Surroundings with Recreational Paths: The park is described as "colorful, woodsy in certain areas," with "paths to walk and or ride bikes." This integration with nature allows residents to enjoy outdoor activities without leaving the vicinity.
  • Proximity to Plum Creek Golf Course: For golf enthusiasts, the nearby Plum Creek Golf Course is a significant draw, offering a championship course and practice facilities just moments away.
  • Balance of Serenity and Connectivity: While some spots may experience noise from the train track or highway, the park is largely described as "quiet," suggesting that many areas offer a peaceful retreat while still maintaining excellent connectivity to urban conveniences.
  • Well-Established Park: The park is noted as a "well established RV park," which often implies stable infrastructure and experienced management.

These combined features contribute to Plum Creek RV Resort being a top choice for Texans seeking a friendly, convenient, and value-driven RV park experience.

Plum Creek RV Resort is known for offering competitive and reasonable rates, particularly for long-term stays, with a significant advantage being the inclusion of electricity in some of its rates. While specific promotions can fluctuate, the park's pricing structure is generally designed to be appealing for Texans looking for value and predictability in their RV park expenses. Based on available information, here's an overview of their typical offerings:

  • Competitive Monthly Rates: The park is highlighted for its "low rate with electricity included," making it highly attractive for residents seeking long-term accommodation without the variable cost of electricity. Monthly rates would need to be confirmed directly with the park, but this is a key feature of their value proposition.
  • Daily and Weekly Options: Like most RV parks, Plum Creek likely offers daily and weekly rates for shorter stays, providing flexibility for travelers passing through or on shorter vacations. These rates would typically include full hookups.
  • Potential for Discounts: While not explicitly stated in the provided reviews, many RV parks offer discounts for groups, seniors, military personnel, or members of RV clubs (like AAA as per one listing). It is always worth inquiring about such possibilities when contacting the park.
  • Value for Amenities: The "reasonable rates" mentioned by residents, combined with amenities like a swimming pool, cable TV, Wi-Fi, and pet-friendly policies, represent a strong value proposition, especially with electricity often bundled into long-term rates.

It's important to note the negative review regarding a 30-amp rig being turned away due to preference for 50-amp users, even if willing to pay the same price, and lack of 30-amp availability. This suggests that while rates may be reasonable, availability and specific site assignments might be subject to the park's current operational strategy. For the most accurate and up-to-date information on rates, availability, and any special offers, prospective Texans should contact Plum Creek RV Resort directly.

The area is colorful, woodsy in certain areas, good location to stores, paths to walk and or ride bikes, pet friendly, a bit noisy if you get a spot by the train track or the highway..but if you are here for awhile and like the accommodation in a low rate with electricity included then this is not bad. Nice, friendly, quiet little neighborhood especially the management. If you need help someone is surely around to lend you a hand.

I wish I could give zero stars...why? Because we have a 30 amp rig and even though its perfectly fine for us to use a 50 amp, theyd rather wait for a larger rig that MIGHT need it? Although we are willing to pay the same price?? Really?? They did not have any availability for a 30 amp mind you. They refuse my business because my amp is lower. They took the chance of not even HAVING a paying customer. How rude. Here I am with my 4 kids, in between homes and they turn us away. I honestly dont get it.

Several campsites were full of trash. Looked like the aftermath of a tornado. Had just joined passport America and paid upfront for two days ... No refunds. Very disappointing.
