Given that Potato Hills Central Campground is described as having "Free entry," it operates outside the typical commercial campground model that offers promotions or discounts. The primary "offer" is the free access and use of the well-maintained facilities.
As a publicly managed recreation area (likely by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers or Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation, though not explicitly stated), any cost savings would come from its inherently free nature. There are no paid services for which promotions would apply. Visitors might, however, find that local businesses in Clayton or surrounding areas offer discounts on fishing supplies, boat rentals, or other recreational gear. It's always a good idea to check with local chambers of commerce or bait shops for any community-wide promotions that might indirectly benefit campers at Potato Hills Central.

It is always advisable to call ahead for current conditions, especially regarding the status of the bathroom/shower facilities or any temporary closures. Customer Reviews
Stopped here for a rest with the family. Couldn't find any pictures of a playground, so I took a gamble. So glad we stopped. Awesome playground, clean, and simple walk to the water. Free entry too.
This place is really nice! Very picturesque location with beautiful lakeside pitches. Just outside the entrance, there is an honor system firewood sale stack. All the pitches were clean and well maintained with the pitch, a covered concrete table and bench seat, and a fire pit/ grill. The ONLY thing that might be a concern is the bathroom/ shower. It's clean, well maintained, and the water was warm.... but the BUGS! WOW! A lot of bugs which are of course attracted by the lights but still.... even I was grossed out, but my GF and teenage daughter, had they been with me, probably wouldn't have used them! That said, I look forward to coming back here again.
We needed a place to rest up after a day of traveling in storms. Was met by a nice young man that greeted us and told us about the area. We had never been there and he was so helpful. It was a pretty place. We plan on going back to see more of the campground.
Nice, open camp areas. Level pads, lots of water access. There is a nice walk-on pier and multiple species of fish (including walleye). They have horse camping with trails and several camp sites with horse stalls. Be warned, tho, the bathrooms have regular sinks and toilets but no water. They don't flush and were FULL of poop.
Great campsites scatterred over 4 loops. You can be near the water or in the trees. They have a trail connecting thos campground to Potato Hills South camping.
