This park isn't fancy, but it is fantastic for getting away from the city on the cheap. The sky is dark enough for milky way shots right from your campaigning lot. When tent camping (towards the back of the road), I’ve been one of the only ones there. All campsites are a stone’s throw from the lake! My only gripe is that the bathrooms by the tent camping side are always closed.

Went camping here over the weekend with my GF. I think this is one of my new favorite spots. I actually wound up buying a piece of property overlooking the lake. Nice camping spots on the water, clean facilities, water, and electric hook-ups. My only complaint is the reservation process. It has to be done online, and there was no service on-site. I did not want to make them online ahead of time as I did not know what spot I wanted. I would recommend driving there ahead of time and picking a spot, then going online at home to make the reservation.
