Customer Reviews
We had a blast floating down the river. It was peaceful, quiet and perfect amount of time. Took us 2 hrs to float down. But depending on the speed of the river- could be a quicker float. The parking, checking in, purchasing the tubes, high quality tubes, we had a cooler attached and a very nice driver at the end to bring us back. Overall such a fun summer day in WI! This place is amazing!
got an RV site here, it's awesome, got some redneck neighbors that are just great and we party all the time. it's bomb
We had a fun time going down and the shuttle driver was really fun to chat with. I recommend signage that tells people not to stop and stand/ block the river right before the first bridge because we almost drowned. My friend and I had a group in front of us of about 10 all tied together. We started off in the slow area and then there is a short island that splits the river. The river comes back together right before the first bridge, and the current there is STRONG. The group stopped right in front of the bridge and we waiting for about 15 minutes before standing out of our tubes to go around them because a bunch of people were waiting behind us. Where the rivers meet back up, the current swept us under the bridge and it drops off about 8+ feet and sucked us right under the water. There isn't a good spot to get to land because it's surrounded by steep inclines. Thankfully we were able to hold onto the rope on our tube to try to get far enough ahead to touch again. I think there should be warnings alerting people to be in their tubes before it reaches that point. Otherwise, the float was nice, the staff were great, and the people on the river were good.
I really enjoyed my tubing experience at River's Edge Apple River Tubing. They offer tube rentals along with ropes to tie the tubes together, and you can also rent a separate tube with a basket in between for carrying your food. The cost was $20 per person, and with the extra tube for the basket and the rope, it totaled $25 per person. The experience was a lot of fun, though it was a bit short—about an hour long. One thing to keep in mind is that glass containers are not allowed on the river, so plan accordingly. Overall, I definitely recommend this if you're looking for a low-key, fun activity to enjoy with friends.
My mom and I had a blast floating on the river yesterday, however, either we weren't paying attention or something changed and we missed our exit. I called the phone number on the site and a kind lady(found out later, her name is Mimi) answered the phone and helped find our location. Then one of the owners drove the bus to this sweet couples house, we were in the backyard on the river, and helped us up the hill and back to Rivers Edge. Everyone was so kind and understanding. I thank you all for you help and kindness.
