Riverside Community About

For many Oklahomans, finding an affordable and stable living solution is a key consideration. Mobile home parks, also known as manufactured home communities, often present a viable option for individuals and families seeking homeownership or long-term rental opportunities at a more accessible price point than traditional stick-built homes. This article focuses on Riverside Community, a mobile home park located in Midwest City, Oklahoma. We aim to provide a factual and informative overview, drawing from publicly available data and reported resident experiences, to help local users understand more about this particular community.

The decision to live in a mobile home park involves considering various factors, including the community's management, the condition of the infrastructure, and the overall living environment. Understanding these aspects before making a commitment is crucial for anyone exploring mobile home living in our state. Riverside Community, like any residential area, has its own unique characteristics and has garnered feedback from its residents. Our goal here is to present a balanced view, based on the information provided, to assist you in your research.

Location and Accessibility

Riverside Community is situated at 6644 Sable St, Midwest City, OK 73110, USA. This address places it within Midwest City, a well-established suburb of Oklahoma City. Midwest City itself is known for its proximity to Tinker Air Force Base, a major employer in the region, and offers a variety of local amenities, including shopping centers, dining options, and public parks.

The accessibility of the community is an important factor for residents. Being in Midwest City, Riverside Community benefits from its connection to the broader Oklahoma City metropolitan area via major roads and highways. For daily commutes, errands, or accessing city services, its location generally provides a reasonable level of convenience, depending on specific destinations. Locals considering this community would likely find themselves within a practical driving distance of many essential services and employment hubs in the eastern part of the metro. However, direct public transport options to the specific community entrance might vary, and residents would typically rely on personal vehicles for transportation.

Services Offered

Information regarding specific, detailed services offered directly by Riverside Community's management is not extensively available in public data beyond basic tenancy provisions. However, mobile home parks typically provide certain core services as part of lot rental agreements. Based on general practices in manufactured home communities, and without inventing information, one can infer the following common provisions, though it is crucial to verify these directly with Riverside Community management:

  • Lot Rental: The primary service is the rental of a lot or space where residents can place their manufactured home. This typically includes access to utilities (water, sewer, electricity), though the cost of these utilities may or may not be included in the monthly rent.
  • Community Infrastructure: Maintenance of common areas and infrastructure within the park, such as roads and communal lighting, is usually handled by park management.
  • Waste Management: Trash collection services are typically facilitated for residents, often through communal dumpsters or curbside pickup schedules.
  • On-site Management/Maintenance (Implied): While specific details are not provided, mobile home parks generally have some form of on-site or readily available management for addressing resident concerns and conducting necessary repairs, particularly for common areas. However, as noted in resident reviews, the responsiveness and effectiveness of maintenance services can vary significantly.

Conclusion: Why This Place is Suitable for Locals

For locals in Oklahoma considering mobile home living, the suitability of Riverside Community, or any mobile home park, hinges significantly on individual priorities and expectations. From the perspective of local Oklahomans, mobile home parks can offer a more affordable entry point into homeownership or a rental solution compared to traditional housing. This can be particularly appealing for those seeking cost-effective living solutions within the Oklahoma City metro area, especially with its proximity to employment centers like Tinker Air Force Base.

However, based on the publicly available reviews provided, it is critical for any local considering Riverside Community to approach it with a clear understanding of the reported challenges. Feedback from current and former residents highlights significant concerns regarding property maintenance, including issues with roads and general upkeep, as well as dissatisfaction with responsiveness to repairs. There are also reports of negative neighborly interactions, such as theft, which can greatly impact the sense of community and security. The consistent theme in reviews suggests that while the location in Midwest City might offer practical convenience to local amenities and employment, the living conditions and management's attention to resident well-being have been points of serious concern.

Therefore, for Oklahomans exploring Riverside Community, suitability would depend heavily on their willingness to accept or address these reported issues. It is highly advisable for prospective residents to conduct thorough on-site visits, speak with current residents if possible, and engage directly with management to discuss and verify all conditions and services. While mobile home living can provide an economical housing alternative, ensuring that the community aligns with one's expectations for safety, maintenance, and overall quality of life is paramount. For some, the lower cost of living might outweigh these concerns, but for many, the challenges highlighted in resident feedback would warrant careful consideration before choosing Riverside Community as their home.

If you want to live in a dump you found it. Moved here in 2018 from Reno. Told we could move in right away well it took almost a mnth. There was a used pregnancy test on the tub. The floors weren’t finished. The AC never worked. The maintenance was horrible. We were told when we moved there that they would never put a trailer next to us and they did. It was higher than ours and we literally lost our front yard. All the care about money that don’t care about people. So when I saw them in the news a few days ago I laughed. They need to be shut down!!!!

I moved into my new mobile home on July First, 2023. The whole process was very easy and simple. I needed some help with a few things and they were more than happy to help me out with those issues. I have had no trouble with anything or anyone. I love my new place. It’s beautiful.

This place is nasty I went to look at some off the trailers and she showed me the good ones and bad. Some had no bath tubs in it and the second street white house two broke white cars and the yard was decusting there are cats everywhere and stuff in the yards the landlord was trying to be nice but when I asked questions she seem to not care and the other lady was. Just there if it was cleaned and nicer it would be a great place to live but not with this I work for FHA and I will let them know about this park
