My husband had emergency surgery on a Friday. I was looking for an RV park near the hospital with a space available and found Southern Pines. The park is clean, quiet, and spacious, with a nice dog run. The park is very conveniently located, which enabled me to care for my husband in the hospital and keep an eye on my dogs. My husband's discharge date was fluid, but the manager, April, was very accommodating and understanding. It was one less thing to worry about, which I greatly appreciated. I highly recommend this jewel of a park.

Wonderful little campground! I stayed here 13 weeks while I was working in Lufkin. It’s very clean, quiet, spacious, and well maintained. The owners are always available should you need anything. The concrete pads are so nice to have and they just opened their new laundry facility. I would happily stay here anytime I’m ever in the area! Top notch!

Pros : clean well kept. Grass is well mowed. Concrete slabs. Has laundromat with only 2 washers and dryers. Cons: RV park is next to the highway. Noise from autos on hiway is terrible. Feels like you are living next to the Daytona 500. The steps to the laundry are concrete brick and the last step into the building is very high. Very dangerous carrying laundry up this last high step. High risk for fall. No one is ever in the office. Will not accept cash for lot rent. Must pay by phone, Internet or phone. They charge for electric with lot rent. How does a person know how much electric is used and who is their electric company. Pro: Dog park is kept clean and the park even provides doggie poop bags with a trash can for bags. Con: People from out of the park come in and use the trash dumpster. When you are using the dryers people will come in and take your clothes out of the dryer when they are wet. They steal your time on the dryer. Cons and pros: Most of the neighbors are quiet, but there is one neighbor with a huge big red truck that makes a lot of noise when driving through the park reving up the engine.

Since day one April and Jimmy were great. They helped me set up my camper and get settled in. Always professional, and great communication. The campground was always clean, and quiet. Residents were very friendly. On-site laundry was great. Internet worked much better than most campgrounds. I enjoyed my stay here and would recommend them to anyone that needs a short term or long term place to stay. Big thank you to April and Jimmy!
