Promotions or Special Offers

As a KOA Holiday location, Starke / Gainesville N.E. KOA Holiday participates in the KOA Rewards program, which offers discounts on daily registration rates at KOA campgrounds nationwide, as well as points that accumulate for cash back on future stays. For regular campers or those planning multiple trips, enrolling in the KOA Rewards program can lead to significant savings. Specific seasonal promotions or limited-time offers might also be available directly through the campground or on the KOA website.

However, it's worth noting, based on recent customer feedback, that policies regarding long-term reservations, particularly for "snowbirds" (seasonal visitors from colder climates), have changed. Previous guests were able to secure their preferred site for the following season upon departure; this is no longer the case. Now, snowbirds are typically placed on a waiting list until November, which can make securing a preferred site more challenging and uncertain for recurring guests. This change has reportedly caused some loyal customers to seek other arrangements. Therefore, for any special offers or long-term stay inquiries, it is highly recommended to contact the campground directly to confirm current policies and availability.

This was our favorite campground to spend the winter months until new owner and managers took over in 2023. Jon has anger issues and no respectful communication skills. If he doesn’t like you, he trumps up an excuse to evict you. We have seen this many times. It’s like walking on egg shells all winter. Jon and Vickie are not consistent on their new rules, which change all the time. And, they don’t follow through with new improvements. They advertise a heated pool. However, it was inoperable one whole winter season with them saying, “it will be fixed in a few days”. The following winter season it worked but was not warm when it was getting nice to swim. The workers have no respect for campers and their personal property when they are mowing or blowing leaves. Snowbirds can no longer secure a reservation on their preferred site for the following season upon departure. Now we are put on a waiting list until November with the hopes we’ll get a phone call saying our preferred site is available. November is too late in the season to try to secure a site at another campground in the event a space isn’t available. How is this a respectable way to treat loyal, recurring snowbirds?!?! This new policy has caused them to lose multiple recurring guests. Sadly, a former beautifully maintained and friendly campground in a nice town is going downhill fast. Too bad there isn’t an option for negative star ratings.

Came to this KOA for a 1 night stay and was very happy with our choice. Easy in and out for big rigs towing. Nice pool, bathrooms, laundry, K9 Dog park. Well maintained and landscaping was pristine. Site 72. Very long asphalt pad and we didn’t have to unhook to park and set up. FHU and very level. Plenty of grass between sites. Didn’t feel cramped at all. And large mature trees everywhere for shade. Amy in the office was our first contact and she was happy to help us. She picked a different site for us where we didn’t have to unhook our tow being so long. Site 72 was perfect for us. Easy in and out! We would highly recommend this KOA!

I only stayed one night in April 2025 but this is a nice KOA with large sites, lots of them are pull throughs and lots of trees around the park and a decent sized pool. It is only minutes away from restaurants and a Walmart and gas stations. Nice front desk staff. The shuffleboard courts look pretty useless actually. There is a small playground for the kids. Very easy to get to and easy to get around the park. We would definitely stay here again if needed.

My husband and I stayed here recently in Cabin # 1 by the gate to the shopping center. It was dirty. I found an empty beer bottle next to the sofa by the wall. When I lifted the cushions on the sofa there was an old rag stuffed in it and dirt. The hardware on the toilet seat had dried urine on it. At the base of the shower was dirt all along the base. The outside porch had green algae on it so it was not inviting upon entry. The windows were dirty inside and out. There were no blinds on the windows and I had to put a beach towel on the bedroom window to keep the light out. The shelf where the microwave sat was not wiped off. The table was not cleaned good. The floors were not cleaned with a swifter or mop. The hardware around the sink had dirt around it. The trashcan in the main area was dirty on the outside. If we didn’t already have plans made with friends we would have left but I had heard that the management was not open to constructive criticism so we probably would not have gotten our money back. The cabin needed a thorough cleaning by someone who is detail oriented and knows how to clean. It should be spotless. When these cabins were built my sister and husband stayed in the same cabin and it was spotless and beautiful! Things have seemingly gone downhill with the new management as far as the cabin cleaning is concerned.

Clean and well maintained park. Vicki, the manager, was most gracious after we had a rough night with a one night tent camping group that was rowdy. She and her staff went above and beyond to make it right. Really nice park with amenities and activities for all ages! Thank you, Ms. Vicki, for your wonderful hospitality!
