The philosophy of an RV park can significantly shape a traveler's experience. At Stone River RV Park and Campgrounds, the emphasis on peace, affordability, and a laid-back approach, as highlighted by glowing customer reviews, creates a truly relaxed atmosphere. It's the ideal choice for Oklahomans looking for a "safe place to stay" overnight or a longer period, appreciating a quiet environment without sacrificing convenient access to travel routes. The owners' commitment to being "super cool, laid back and understandable" truly sets a positive tone, ensuring a pleasant and uncomplicated stay for all visitors.
Stone River RV Park and Campgrounds is located at 343188 E 870 Rd, Chandler, OK 74834, USA. This address places it squarely in a peaceful country setting outside of Chandler. Despite being "out in the country," its location is described as "conveniently located for travel." This means it offers the best of both worlds: the tranquility of rural Oklahoma paired with relatively easy access to major transportation routes.
Public information suggests that to reach the campground from the turnpike entrance/exit (likely I-44, the Turner Turnpike), one would "continue 2.9 mi N on Hwy 18 to 870 Rd. Continue 1/8 mi W to campgrounds." This indicates that while not directly on a major interstate, it's a short and straightforward drive off a main highway, making it accessible for larger RVs without navigating complex city streets. Chandler itself provides basic amenities, and its central Oklahoma location places it within reasonable reach of larger cities like Oklahoma City to the west and Tulsa to the east, making it a viable stop for those traveling across the state or exploring the region. The country setting also contributes to a "quiet place," providing a restful stop for weary travelers.
Stone River RV Park and Campgrounds focuses on providing essential services that cater to the needs of RVers and campers, all within a welcoming and low-key environment.
Stone River RV Park and Campgrounds is celebrated for its unique combination of natural tranquility and a distinctly friendly, no-fuss approach to hospitality.
Stone River RV Park and Campgrounds is known for its "reasonably priced" and "great price" structure, as highlighted by numerous customer reviews. The park's daily rates were reported as $26-$28 (for 2 persons, with an extra $2/person after that), with weekly rates at $140-$145 and monthly rates at $360-$370. This transparent and competitive pricing, along with the "honor system" for payment, could be considered a form of built-in value or promotion.
While the updated review mentioned a minor miscommunication regarding per-person fees, the owner, Vickie, kindly apologized and clarified that these details are on their website. This indicates a commitment to transparency, even if a human oversight occurred during a phone conversation.
For the most current and precise details on rates, any specific discounts for longer stays (weekly or monthly), or any seasonal promotions that might be available, it is always recommended to contact Stone River RV Park and Campgrounds directly. Their helpful and understandable owners would be the best source for accurate information.

We were thankful for a safe place to stay for a night when we were on our way through. It was a quiet place, out in the country but conviently located for travel. The lady I spoke to on the phone was kind and helpful, she reserved our spot so we were sure to have a place when we arrived. There are a few cluttered, what look like full-timers, there but overall a clean campground. They do an honor system for payment which is admirable. The biggest complaint I have is that the lady told me $28 for the night but then on the sign next to their honor system payment box it says the fees are based off of 2 person occupancy and it's an extra $2/person after that. We are a family of 6. It just would have been nice if she had been totally upfront with me instead of surprise added fees when paying. Updated review: Vickie contacted me via text in regard to the surprise fees. She so kindly apologized, stated it is on their website, which I never visited because I had just called her and she mistakingly forgot to mention the fees.. she's only human like the rest of us. No harm done. Very nice lady.
