Reviews consistently praise the cleanliness of the grounds and amenities, as well as the welcoming atmosphere provided by the staff, particularly in the coffee house. Tucked back in the trees with access to the Salt River, it offers a peaceful setting for those looking to escape the daily grind. Direct access from US-61, a prominent highway, ensures ease of navigation for all types of vehicles, including large RVs. This makes the campground highly accessible for locals traveling from various parts of Missouri, whether from larger cities like St. Louis or Kansas City, or closer towns. We came here for a 2-night getaway and had a wonderful stay! The cabins are so nice and cozy. We LOVED our campsite tucked back in the trees and spend almost all of our time outside. All the facilities were super clean and well kept, and the girls in the coffee house were so friendly and helpful. There is some highway noise (which is no one’s fault, just mentioning it here for those who might want to avoid that), but after a while you don’t notice it. The beds are also very hard, or at least the one in our cabin was, but that wouldn’t keep me from visiting again. We can’t wait to come back!

I only spent about 12 hours in this campground as an overnight stopping point on my way from ND to TN, but it had great views and the most amazing welcome party of cute and friendly kitties I've ever met. They had spaces for RVs and tents, as well as cabins you could rent. The view of the river from my tent was amazing in the morning as I packed up to finish my drive. The coffee house had plenty of options and the staff was very friendly.

We spent 4 days at this wonderful little spot in their primitive tent sites right along salt river. Great atmosphere and staff. Small shower house but well kept with clean towels available. Although it is right off the interstate so prepare for some traffic noise but otherwise quiet and relaxing area. Great shade cover in the cabins and primitive sites. Delicious coffee and wish we lived closer just to stop by for that in the morning! It is pet friendly and our dog was comfortable quickly. They have a few very sweet and friendly cats along with some beautiful domestic bunnies that stay on the property as well. I wish there was more hiking nearby but that's not their fault and we will probably plan on kayaking or canoeing during our next visit. Only real critique would be that the outhouses need serviced a little more frequently but the shower house is never that far of a walk.

We tent-camped here and our experience was terrific. Staying at site T18 was perfectly remote and peaceful - we had about 2 acres to ourselves since the nearby cabin wasn't occupied! A few steps away we could see the river, and it was a short walk to the showerhouse or tasty coffee. Overall, it was just what we needed for a short weekend away, and I wouldn't be surprised if we'll be back again!
