STOP! FIND SOMEWHERE ELSE! We've been RV camping all over the eastern US for the last year and have found no where worse to camp than this location. Squirrels destroyed the internet, water worked on occasion but only if you had pliers to turn it on, sites were so slanted we slid almost a foot overnight, trees dropped branches from the tall, unkempt pine trees, sites and vehicles were packed like sardines, and the septic drain was uphill and higher than the camper, making for an interesting drain event. We left early and stayed in a parking lot to protect our camper. Staff was nice but would not offer any refund, which is fine because you couldn't pay my to stay there again.
About to stay for the third time. I love this campground. It reminds me of an 80s summer camp. They just built a new pool and doing some renovations to make the stay an even more positive experience. They just need more campers and RV guests. So stop by, enjoy some peace and quiet. Fish from the dock or kayak in the lake. Play mini golf or basketball. Even jump in the lake via rope swing. It’s the perfect little getaway and will make you forget time (isn’t that the point of vacation??!🤩) I’m excited to go back and enjoy my home away from home. The Point has a special place my heart and they will always know why!! You must stay, kick your feet up, and enjoy the sounds of nature. I’ve seen bald eagle’s flying, geese, ducks, frogs, fish, gray herrings and don’t forget the duck, quackers …. He has the most epic laugh (quack) swimming across the water in the mornings. It sounds like the universe is laughing and makes me smile every morning. Thanks Kim and the team for being truly amazing. Kim, you make each visit special and we appreciate you!!! Thanks for hosting us and we’ll see you again very soon!!! Melissa & Jesse
This is the worst RV parks I've been to in my 10 years of being a full-time RV'er. The Internet is always out of service! Water gets shut off with little to no warning! Washer and dryers are always broken! It is the most expensive RV park in the area. Their boat dock is falling apart and unsafe. There's no security in the park. Thieves roam through the park unchecked. The lots are poorly maintained. Long-term renters are expected to maintain their own lot. Find another park, you won't regret it.
Price was higher than we usually pay, the Forrest fire at Table Rock State Park closed that campground resulting in us staying at here. The guy who helped us park was super nice. wifi is unavailable due to squrial damaging wires ~ no potential repair date, no reduction in cost. Site was dirt, and unlevel both front to back and side to side. By Far our biggest complaint is related to the "campers" who live here... Newly arriving campers sign rules agreeing to keep dogs on leash. Some guy who mentioned having lived here 18 years travels on a golf cart with a little dog running alone side. The people next to us woke us up EVERY night, coming and going at all hours: 11:30, 2:00, 3:30... sometimes on a motorcycle sometimes in a truck with two small kids ~ frustrating. They let trash accumulate in their fire pit for days and then set it on fire. Once it was SMOLDERING real well they cleaned out the truck and added some more plastic and trash - we ran around tightening down windows! They never added a piece of wood, it smoked for hours ~ socks take a long time to burn. The place is close to the water and could be nice, it just needs to be run like a campground versus a trailer park.
This place was awful. We were supposed to stay for two nights for the Clemson Carolina game and only ended up staying one. To start with All the handles to the plumbing fixtures were loose literally felt like they were going to fall off, power outlets hanging out the walls, water damaged wholes, house roaches, there was dog hair on the couch, what looked to be pubic hair on the bed, but hey if you’re hungry there were some crumbs on the bed also, the flooring was coming apart and it felt like it was rotted underneath, dirt everywhere, we tried to use the stove and it smelt like dead burning animal when turned on, the dishes were absolutely disgusting, there was crusty brown stuff on the towel, the toilet and bathtub leaked. I definitely would not recommend this place at all. We would’ve rather stayed in the car. Almost all the campers there are permanent residents who were playing music and riding ATVs all around (like 12:30 at night). It just wasn’t a good experience at all.
