Two Sons Floats & Camping is conveniently located at 15806 MO-59, Noel, MO 64854, USA. This address places it directly on State Highway 59, a primary route that navigates through the heart of the Elk River region in Southwest Missouri. Noel, often celebrated for its scenic riverways, is a popular destination for float trips and outdoor recreation, and Two Sons benefits greatly from its placement within this vibrant area.
The campground’s location on Highway 59 means excellent accessibility for visitors traveling from various parts of Missouri and beyond. Major cities like Joplin, MO, are approximately an hour's drive north, while Northwest Arkansas hubs such as Bentonville and Fayetteville are also within easy reach, making Two Sons an accessible escape for both weekend trips and longer vacations. The direct highway access helps simplify navigation, especially for those towing campers or RVs, avoiding complicated rural routes.
While the highway proximity offers convenience, it's worth noting, as one reviewer mentioned, that highway noise can sometimes be heard echoing off the bluffs. However, for many, the trade-off for easy access is well worth it, especially considering the tranquil atmosphere generally found within the park itself.
A significant aspect of the location is its direct relationship with the Elk River. Two Sons provides access to the river for launching float trips and enjoying water activities. Being situated directly along the river enhances the overall camping and floating experience, as guests don't need to travel far to begin their adventure. Beyond the campground, the surrounding area of Noel and McDonald County offers opportunities for exploring small-town charm, local eateries, and other natural attractions like nearby conservation areas or caves, providing additional options for those looking to explore the wider region during their stay. Customer Reviews
What a lovely park. Not the busy stupid "resorts" you see around Noel, but a quiet natural setting with none of the obnoxious hype. We were there for a Tuesday night in site #12 which had 30 amp and water, and lots of shade. We took the 8 mile float on Wednesday morning. The bathrooms were clean. The canoe was in good repair. The people were super nice. They say it does get real busy on the weekends, but if you go mid week you'll love it. Only 1 other camper was there besides us. It was a lovely get away! Only cons, if you want to call it that, is there is no way to grill outside unless you bring your own grill. I had to take the rack off my Coleman stove to put over the fire ring to grill the meat. There is no playground. And, you hear the highway noise pretty loud echoing off the rock bluffs.. I would stay here again though. This one is primitive, except with some electric and water, we really liked it, I hope they keep it like this.
I've been going here for years. No need to waste your time with other campgrounds full of hateful people. They are always happy to have you here and super kind with a beautiful campground.
The guys from Two Sons picked us up at the Econo Lodge, which was specially arranged for our group, and took us to the spot on the river where they had rafts waiting for us. The rafts were nice 6 person rafts and they also had garbage netted bags ready for any trash. The float was great and Two Sons picked us up at the end and took us back to the hotel. They were very efficient and friendly.
I've been coming here for a long time and I've honestly never had a bad experience that wasnt caused by my own doing. Have stayed a couple times when the grass was a bit tall or non-existent in some places, but all in all I love the ground, the staff are friendly if you follow the rules and the prices are reasonable. It would be a good place to bring your children.
Only place we will ever go. So clean and the staff really make things easy. We tried Elk floats but the camp ground was disgusting & bathrooms repulsive. We quickly called Two sons and moved to their camp ground. They were so kind and helpful. Showers & bathrooms were perfect.
