Customer Reviews
Great place, may want to bring fresh water in your tanks. Not full hookup. Views are amazing.
The water hydrant located at the dump station on the way in shoots water out everywhere. I was soaked after filling our tank and it's very wasteful. The other randomly located hydrants are difficult to locate. The restrooms and showers are old and dirty. Sticks and branches litter the place and some spots look like they haven't been used for years. This was was our first time at Wayne Fitzgerrell and will be the last. We'll continue staying at the Army Corps sites instead. A positive about Wayne Fitzgerrell is that the majority of the campers are more outgoing and friendly than at other nearby campgrounds.
What a find, we backed up right up to the water. This will be our new stop and rest place on our way to Illinois and Back to Florida.
This Campground is not RV friendly. The fresh water hydrants are in very poor condition and there are very few of them. Good luck locating one because they are all unmarked and we'll hidden. Filling your RV water tank is nearly impossible. They all have a spring loaded handles that leak like crazy so expect to get your shoes, clothes and feet soaked filling up your RV water tanks. The water hydrants are not convientately located and when you do find one you have to park your RV on the road and walk thru other camper's camping sites to get to the water hydrants. You will also need very long waters hoses, too! PS: the camp site entrance water hydrant is nearly non functional and has been for years!
Alot of deer out early morning. Momma deer was close keeping eye on them.
