Introduction / Overview

Western Skies Mobile Home Park is an established residential community situated in Choctaw, Oklahoma, an east suburb of Oklahoma City. Built in 1975, this park features 74 units across one story and has undergone redevelopment, transforming it into a modern living option. The community's re-development efforts aim to provide residents with new or well-maintained mobile homes, often focusing on sales to foster a sense of ownership and stability. Located on approximately 15 acres, Western Skies has converted its infrastructure to city water and sewer services, eliminating reliance on older well and lagoon systems, which is a significant upgrade for residents' convenience and utility reliability.

The park is described as a quiet, all-owner-occupied, multi-cultural community, seeking to be a serene environment away from the direct hustle and bustle of downtown Oklahoma City. It targets individuals, families, and seniors looking for affordable living with a strong community feel. The focus on new mobile homes being sold through a local dealer indicates a commitment to long-term residency and modern housing standards within the park. While some residents have noted initial challenges with home setup and communication upon move-in, there are also strong positive sentiments regarding the professionalism and helpfulness of specific staff members, such as the office manager and maintenance personnel. This suggests a mixed experience but also highlights dedicated individuals who strive to make Western Skies a good place to live. It is designed for those who appreciate a suburban setting with access to city amenities and a more laid-back lifestyle.

Love the house, the area. However when we moved in we had some issues. Everything before was great. Then once we got our keys that changed. No one in the office wants to help up. I can literally see when my messages are being read in ignored. I asked for help because it’s not letting me into my portal to make a payment. Was told I would get help then I don’t. When we moved in there was saw dust everywhere , had to take a blade to get caulking out of the sink so it didn’t clog. (No big deal I was going to clean it anyway) we had to tell the maintenance guy because the trim was hanging off the wall from not being nailed down properly. The shelf’s in the cabinets were cut too short so we can’t use them. I assume the manufacturers are just lazy ? I’m not sure. BUT WHAT REALLY GETS ME! When we moved in the tub does not get hot water. We talked to a plumber and it’s clogged. They will not fix it because legal reasons? It was the way they put it in!! That is not our issue. They put it on their property so shouldn’t they fix it? If you want a single wide get it somewhere else. Now we are stuck here until we can move it.
