Westgate RV Park About

For RV travelers traversing the beautiful landscapes of Kentucky, finding a convenient, clean, and well-equipped place to rest for the night is essential. Westgate RV Park in London, KY, presents itself as an excellent option for those seeking a practical and comfortable stopover on their journey. Located strategically for ease of access, this RV park aims to provide the necessary amenities for a refreshing overnight stay.

Many visitors appreciate Westgate RV Park for its straightforward utility and accessibility. It's often highlighted as a "great overnight spot to park and stay in your RV on a long road trip," due to its prime location "just off the highway." This makes it an ideal choice for travelers looking to break up a long drive across Kentucky or through the region. Despite its roadside proximity, the park is frequently described as "surprisingly clean, freshly cut grass, and decent trees," creating a more pleasant environment than one might expect from a quick stopover location.

The park offers a mix of site types, including convenient "pull-through spots" for easy access and "back-in spots," all of which "looked to have full hookups," providing essential services for RVers. Families traveling with children will also appreciate the presence of a "covered pavilion, pool, and swing-set for kids," offering opportunities for relaxation and play after a day on the road. Furthermore, the ability to "easily walk to a variety of restaurants for breakfast, lunch, and dinner" adds a significant layer of convenience, allowing campers to enjoy a meal without having to unhitch or drive.

However, it is important for prospective visitors to be aware of all feedback. While many find it a good stopover, some experiences highlight areas for improvement, particularly regarding late-night maintenance activities and customer service. One reviewer noted, "7:30 at night they started mowing and weed eating around the campers. They finished around 9 pm," which impacted their ability to relax. This was compounded by a perceived lack of apology or resolution from the office staff. This feedback suggests that while the park offers good facilities and location, management's communication and consideration for guest comfort during specific operations might be inconsistent.

Ultimately, Westgate RV Park is frequently recommended as a "good stopover on your way somewhere," rather than a "vacation destination." This distinction is important for setting appropriate expectations. For travelers needing a convenient, full-service overnight stay in London, KY, it certainly merits consideration.

Location and Accessibility

Westgate RV Park boasts a highly convenient location at 254 W Hal Rogers Pkwy, London, KY 40741, USA. This address places it strategically in London, Kentucky, a city situated in Laurel County within the southeastern part of the state. London is a significant junction, particularly for travelers utilizing Interstate 75, a major north-south artery running through Kentucky. Hal Rogers Parkway itself is another key route, connecting London to other parts of Eastern Kentucky.

The park's most notable accessibility feature is its direct proximity to major highways. Being "just off the highway" makes it exceptionally easy for RVers to pull in and out, minimizing detours and saving valuable travel time. This convenience is a primary draw for those undertaking long road trips across or through Kentucky. Furthermore, its location "behind a restaurant and gas station" adds practical value, providing immediate access to fuel, quick meals, and basic supplies without needing to drive further once settled in.

The urban-adjacent setting means that within London, campers have access to a wider range of services, including grocery stores, additional dining options, retail outlets, and potentially emergency services. While the park itself offers a degree of green space, its primary appeal lies in its efficiency as a travel stop. For any RVer journeying through Kentucky, Westgate RV Park's location offers unparalleled ease of access, making it a highly practical choice for an overnight or short-term stay.

For Kentuckians who embrace the RV lifestyle, whether for weekend getaways, longer road trips across our beautiful state, or simply needing a convenient stop on their way through, Westgate RV Park in London, KY, offers a highly practical and suitable option. Its primary suitability for locals lies in its strategic location and functional amenities, making it an excellent base for various travel needs.

The park's placement "just off the highway" (Hal Rogers Parkway and near I-75) is a significant advantage. Despite these points, for the majority of Kentuckians seeking a functional, full-service, and conveniently located RV stop for a night or two, Westgate RV Park remains a strong contender, efficiently serving the needs of the mobile traveler.

Great overnight spot to park and stay in your rv on a long road trip. Location is just off the highway behind a restaurant and gas station. There are three pull through spots and about 10 back-in spots. All looked to have full hookups. Park was surprisingly clean, freshly cut grass, and decent trees. Covered pavilion, pool, and swing-set for kids. Easily walk to a variety of restaurants for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. You’ll check in at the front office of the Budget Host Inn. We came with a 36ft toy hauler and could only have fit in the one spot we got, #153. Overall, don’t make this spot a vacation destination, but it’s definitely a good stopover on your way somewhere. Would come back again!

We pulled in for the night. 730 at night they started mowing and weed rating around the campers. They finished around 9pm. I went to office to speak with manager they replied she will call me and would not give mer phone number. Never got a call. So next day we went to sign out and the desk told us they pay for a mowing service and can mow anytime they want.. what kind of operation are they running? I would rate this as a 1. No apology or anything

This was the perfect stop for our drive from Ohio to Atlanta. Nice to have electric and be able to open the camper up. Check-in is very simple, and the staff were so polite. We will for sure stop here again and recommend it to our camping friends.

Good spot for RV parking. The best WiFi we've had in over two months of travel. TV as well. Rare to see "good" free WiFiand TV in a n RV Park. This park is part of the Budget Host Inn hotel. Quiet and convenient to lots of eateries and shopping.
