Let's delve into what makes this Livingston gem a noteworthy option for your next Kentucky adventure.
Fireglow Forest Riverside Cabin Rentals is beautifully located at 3677 Lower River Rd, Livingston, KY 40445, USA. This address places the cabins in a tranquil, riverside setting within Livingston, a community in Rockcastle County, Kentucky. Livingston is known for its natural beauty and serves as a gateway to various outdoor attractions in the region.
The name "Riverside" is key here, indicating that the cabins offer direct or very close access to a river, providing opportunities for water-based activities like fishing, kayaking, or simply enjoying the serene sounds of flowing water. This immediate proximity to nature is a significant draw for many seeking a quiet retreat. The Lower River Road address further suggests a more secluded and scenic drive, away from the immediate bustle of main thoroughfares, contributing to the peaceful atmosphere of the property.
Livingston itself is a smaller, rural town, meaning that visitors will find a peaceful environment. The charm of this location lies in its ability to feel remote and connected to nature, while still being within reasonable driving distance for necessities. For those attending local events, such as the Moonshiners Ball, its location in Livingston could be a convenient base, though it's important to verify travel times and routes to specific event venues.

Customer Reviews
We stayed here just one night at Riverside Blue (the one, slightly larger, and handicap accessible cabin). The owner was so friendly and very accommodating, it was great for staying with my two year old and my mother, who has mobility issues. I loved all of the made in Kentucky furnishings!
We made a reservation March 10, 2025 with Susan for the Sapphire Springs cabin. We went through her directly. We offered to pay a deposit or even the whole amount to secure our stay, and she said there was no need to. She confirmed we would be staying in Emerald Forest. We told her any cabin was fine. She said she double checked and Emerald Forest was available and booked as ours. She assured us she keeps track of everything and would notify a few weeks before our reservation date of October 10- 12. She even sent us a text stating we were good. We thought "how nice and how thoughtful she was". We had reservations to stay there to attend the Moonshiners Ball 2025. We told her we were coming there specifically for the Moonshiners Ball and were so excited. We love to travel and always book ahead. We researched Fireglow and loved the pictures. Today 4/18/2025 she notified us the reservations were cancelled because the people who put on the Moonshiners Ball were going to stay there. Not cool. So sad. When we pushed back she said all of her reservations are Tentative. Not cool. Susan stated the April floods threw her off. Our Reservations were made in March. Floods were in April. When she was communicating with us when we booked she stated she was feeding her animals and we would love it there. When she cancelled our reservation she offered to find us a different cabin but not in Fireglow Forest. So we declined. We are peacful and believe in doing the right thing. I feel like we were not treated fairly and tossed aside so someone (in her mind) more important could stay the same weekend we were booked. That's bad business. Just know if you book with her directly the reservations are Tentative. Might be better and safer to book via Airbnb or VRBO.
This was a wonderful experience. Hosts are incredibly kind and generous. The animals are great for the kids, and the cabins are the coolest, the decor is top notch.
Susan was our host for an evening of fun in such a beautiful setting. We stayed in Riverside Blue Cabin and it was the most amazing getaway with absolutely everything you could think of and more to accommodate guests. We came to ride the Razor, mainly at Wildcat Offroad Park - (5.3 miles away) but there were other riding options available in the area. From reading the cabin journal you can tell Susan has an art of pleasing guests making sure to make upgrades when suggestions are made. She had the most charming little area and you can tell she dumps her heart into Fireglow. We will 100% be visiting again.
We loved our stay here when we stayed back in June! It was our first time staying. Each year the family takes a kayak trip. The family has gone to the same place every year, however this year we needed to find something new as the last place sold. I’m so glad we ended up here! We had rented all the cabins but the emerald one. I can’t say enough about the details Susie has put in to each cabin!! They are so unique!! The color themes are amazing! When I talk about details, I mean even down to the trash bags matching the color theme!!! There were fresh eggs in each cabin upon arrival. She also has turned on the air prior to our arrival in each unit as it was June and hot. She gave recommendations for places to eat and things to do. There wasn’t much rain so we were a bit worried about the kayak situation. She sent us information on the route we should go including depth after she checked with a few people. She also talked with someone about a pickup for us if we needed! Susie is an amazing host and we could not have been happier. Before we left we actually reserved all the cabins for the next year. It’s October and I still wanted to write a review (I just procrastinate haha) but the family is still talking about it and we are making plans for next year . We are excited as she said the back area behind the large cabin should be cleared out so it will have direct river access. Thank you Susie for being an amazing host and for going WAY ABOVE and BEYOND! You are a true gem and we are so happy we have found this little slice of heaven!
