Customer Reviews
We spent 5 wonderful weeks here in our RV with our two big dogs and cat. Everyone on staff was friendly and kind, ready to answer questions and offer suggestions for local amenities, dinning, outdoor activities, attractions, and entertainment. They also have a calendar of fun activities hosted on site. The campground has been beautifully cultivated and is well maintained, merging nature with convenience. There are plenty of sites ready to accommodate adventures of all kinds, from tents to large RVs towing toys and vehicles. There are also some little cabins that look so fun to stay in. The facilities include a convenience store, excellent wifi, a great children's park, a large dog park, pool, and prospecting station one can purchase bags to sift through. The restrooms were always clean, with plenty of hot water, and never crowded. The laundry room came in handy, and has a great big dog wash station, which fortunately we didn't need to use. Each day we were greeted by abundant wildlife, wildflowers, the rich scent of wild honeysuckle, and the shade of grand old trees. We are so looking forward to staying here again in the future when we are able to return and continue the search for our dream home in the surrounding areas. Truly this was the best stay we could have imagined, with wonderful hosts, great fellow campers, and in such a beautiful place tucked away in the forest. Thank you all!
We ended up here by accident, actually. John was incredibly helpful and friendly. My family& I usually disperse/free form/primitive camp so ending up somewhere with electric, water, Wi-Fi at all sites was uncommon for us. We noticed on the map that there were some cool kid's activities however none of them were available on Saturday. These family friendly activities listed that were unavailable to us were; bounce house, outdoor movie theatre, axe throwing, and swimming pool. Playground is quaint and sufficient for younger children. We camped in our tent. Due to the nature and design of public/community campgrounds we felt exposed however the bathrooms/showers were wonderful and moderately temperature controlled. I would recommend this place for family weekends if you're going to Corbin or near by events for the weekend.
We had an absolutely amazing time at the Corbin KOA near Laurel Lake! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with outstanding hospitality—John and his team went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect. Their customer service was top-notch, friendly, and genuinely helpful. The campground has clearly seen some wonderful renovations recently. From the beautifully updated landscaping to the fresh, well-maintained amenities in the cabins, everything felt clean, modern, and inviting. You can tell a lot of care and attention to detail went into the upgrades. The location itself is peaceful and scenic—surrounded by natural beauty and just a short drive from the lake. We had so much fun relaxing, exploring, and just enjoying the outdoors. This place is a perfect mix of comfort and nature. We’re already planning our return trip. If you’re looking for a great place to camp with fantastic staff, upgraded cabins, and gorgeous surroundings, this KOA is the place.
This is a great KOA. Friendly people, great service. Last night they had bingo, music and a lawn movie and popcorn. I did a 4 on the rooms just because we didn't stay in a cabin. But they are really cute on the outside. We will definitely come back.
We are just leaving this campground. It is a lovely place. It’s clear that the owners take pride in their service. Bathrooms were very clean. Internet was fast. Staff was pleasant. Out only issue with the trip had nothing to do with the campground. Aside from hiking, there is very little to do in this area in April. We did enjoy a couple days of great hiking but had quite a bit of rain the rest of our time here. The town of Corbin left much to be desired. Not a lot of restaurant options. But if you plan to just be at the campground, this is a great place!
