Sep 26, 2022 · debntrav925Love the fact that there is a free camping area near Kansas. No shower, but close to the lake. They had water pumps, but couldn't figure out how they worked. Washrooms on site and there was lots of room even in peak season. (lake pictures are from a campsite about av hour hike in)
Jul 11, 2018 · Michael McCaffreyNever know there is such a gem on the other side of Clinton Lake, especially from beginner backpacker's perspective. Wooded and near lake camp grounds, 🏕 short trails and easy access.
Mar 11, 2023 · Maria ZeeeOne of the best free campgrounds I've seen in America. Very well done. Lot of the sites have picnic tables which is nice. Fire pits. Bathroom. Water. It was really smart that they had a bunch of campgrounds on the trail. Good idea. It's a military one from my understanding and has a rule for no alcohol which I'm sure makes it much safer and more family friendly. Well done to those responsible for this one. really appreciate the place to stay for a couple days and you gave me all I could ask for
