The restrooms were very nice, clean and newly constructed! The campsite was beautiful, the hike was adventurous that is for sure! I definitely would recommend this for campers who want to have a somewhat primitive experience! It is also not in far distance to many attractions! The host was amazing and they do not lie when they say complementary shuttling, Keith and Ross definitely made sure we had an excellent camping trip!
The nice Big Bucks have had the 5 acres to themselves without worry of any hunter (25yrs!)♥️ Also at mid hill, flattens a bit once up first bit of hill is climbed, is/was the home of many Turkey, the Deer also likes to bed down there. You will find woodpeckers & many other birds, tons of rabbits, spring peepers, fox, opossum, racoon to mention a few I've friended when raising my kids there. Also Please your eyes open & smell for Cucumber, I only know of two nest/homes. Be Safe & enjoy, I did for 25 years. I hope you find as much enjoyment & relaxation there as we did. "Happiness Hill" 🙂 ♥️
5 stars for Benton’s on the Baileys!! My partner and I had an amazing experience staying in the cabin last week at Benton's on the Baileys. It was the perfect mid week getaway that we needed. Keith was amazing and made us feel so welcomed. The cabin is cozy, offering just what you need for a rustic stay in the woods. There is a comfy hammock to hang out in and enjoy the sounds of nature all around and the fire-pit is a great end to a relaxing day. If you are into hiking or biking there are plenty of trails in the area to keep you busy if you don't want to spend your time just relaxing. We can't wait to stay again and recommend it to anyone who is looking for a quiet place to getaway to.
Extraordinary camp host. Highly recommended due to the host Keith’s delightful hospitality. Great spot to camp with a metal fire pit, picnic table, and firewood shelter at the particular location I stayed at. Right from the start I met Keith and enjoyed his well mannered and joyful demeanor. My team was able to spaciously fit four large tents of varying capacities, my own single person tent, and two overhead canopies with still plenty of room for chairs around the fire and space to roam. Firewood was easy to supply and Keith had chopped firewood readily available for purchase at a (in my opinion) decent price. The landscape was beautiful and so peaceful. Keith made sure we had everything we needed and always seemed to try his best to provide us with any answers and was even willing to haul some water to us. This site does have full bathrooms with some toiletries supplied that is just a couple minutes walk from camping areas. The bathrooms are lock secured and private with climate control. Very safe feeling. We did not have any problems with animals approaching our camp to get into food. If we did leave anything out on the picnic table it would be untouched the next morning. Our bird watchers were able to spy several birds in the canopies in the trees around us and along the trails. We did not have phone service approaching the area but did have 2/5 bars of service and LTE at the camp site because it is at a higher elevation. It just seemed like no hassle everywhere we looked and Keith was a very genuine and honest person who treated us with respect. Great place for camping with kids or the family and friends. I wish I had taken more photos, but my group of friends spent the stay enjoying our time together instead of on our phones.
My friends and I stayed here recently and had an amazing time! Keith is an excellent host and was very helpful. He helped shuttle our stuff up to the site, and was very generous with firewood. The campsite we stayed at was very well kept and we found it very comfortable. The bathrooms were also very nice and convenient. I would definitely recommend Benton's on the Baileys and I would stay here again!
