  • Affordable Homeownership: A primary highlight of manufactured home communities like Bon-Aire is the opportunity for affordable homeownership. For many Iowans, this presents a more accessible path to owning property compared to traditional site-built homes, allowing residents to build equity.

Promotions or Special Offers

Based on the publicly available information, Bon-Aire Mobile Home Lodge, as an owner-occupied manufactured home community that offers lots for homes, does not typically advertise "promotions" or "special offers" in the same way a retail business or rental apartment complex might. Their focus is on providing a stable environment for homeowners.

However, for Iowans considering purchasing a manufactured home and locating it at Bon-Aire, it's important to consider the following:

  • Direct Inquiry for Lot Availability and Terms: The most reliable way to understand any current opportunities is to contact Bon-Aire Mobile Home Lodge directly. While they don't advertise "promotions," they can provide specific details on available lots, current lot rent rates, any requirements for bringing a manufactured home into the park, and potentially any limited-time incentives they might have (though not commonly advertised). They explicitly state, "We'll help you find the home you've always wanted," which suggests they are open to discussing options with prospective residents.

  • Value of Affordable Homeownership: The primary "offer" of Bon-Aire Mobile Home Lodge is the inherent value of affordable homeownership in Iowa City. For many, the cost savings of purchasing a manufactured home and leasing a lot can be significantly more budget-friendly than purchasing a traditional site-built home, making homeownership a realistic goal.

  • Stability of Owner-Occupied Community: While not a promotion, the policy of only allowing owner-occupied homes (no rentals or rent-to-own) can be seen as a long-term benefit. This policy often contributes to a more stable community where residents are invested in their properties and the overall neighborhood, potentially leading to better upkeep and a stronger sense of belonging.

Prospective residents are encouraged to directly contact Bon-Aire Mobile Home Lodge to discuss their specific needs, explore available lots, and understand all terms and conditions associated with living in the community.

This place is nice but management is horrible. The manager is selfish and all he does is bully residents. I bought a home and brought it to this park and that was the biggest mistake of my life. If you are considering moving to this place please run away before it's too late for you.

0/5 - Discriminatory practices, horrible management. Everything that others are saying is true - if you buy a mobile home here, you cannot sell it. Park management will deny all applicants. They will make it so that your only option is to sell your home to them for cheap, and then they sell it for profit to screw the next person over. Dont buy a mobile home unless youre willing to sell it for next to nothing to the owners. Shady practices, Ive also heard from multiple sources of them screwing multiple people over. Its a scam they run.

If I could give them a 0/5 stars I would. Management is terrible. Was looking to buy from a private seller and immediately after turning in my application to the management they went to the owner of the trailer to push her to sell it back to bon aire. Upon her saying no the management would not approve me nor tell me why I wasn’t approved or return my calls. I feel terrible for those who own homes there because when it comes to selling your trailer home they will force you to sell to them by not approving applicants who are interested in buying your trailer. Do not buy a home here!

Discriminates against young people. They go off their opinion of the applicant and not fair legal housing practices for renting. Once you buy a trailer there ** when you want to move*** you’ll be stuck with it empty!! Still paying a lot rent on it while dozens of applicants are denied because the owners of the park discriminate if they think the applicant is “too young” or they don’t like how they look or they discriminate against income, if it’s not what they consider is “enough money” even when the applicant can afford paying all the bills they just won’t take all income into consideration even when the applicant pass their credit check! But they collect lot rent from the empty trailers, seems like a real racket that they got going there!!! And they’re only accepting cash for the applications! And keeping the money when they deny ppl off of their own opinion of them. ***File your complaints with the Iowa city humans rights commission - online form available!
