City RV Parks is situated at **1619 Dover St, Mobile, AL 36618, USA**. This address places it within the bustling city of Mobile, Alabama, yet it manages to offer a surprisingly quiet environment for its guests. Mobile is a major port city on the Gulf Coast, providing residents and visitors with a rich history, vibrant culture, and numerous attractions.
While one review mentions the park being in a "dark side of town," other descriptions and the park's amenities suggest it strives to maintain a secure environment. Its location offers practical accessibility to key areas of Mobile. For instance, there's a **grocery store (Winn Dixie) within walking distance**, a significant convenience for daily needs. The park's website also indicates it's a "Mobile RV Park," suggesting a direct connection to the city's resources. Easy access to local roads allows for convenient travel to downtown Mobile attractions, the USS Alabama Battleship Memorial Park, various museums, dining establishments, and shopping centers. Despite being in a city, the presence of "Lots of beautiful trees" contributes to a more natural and less urban feel within the park itself, allowing guests to "listen to the birds in and drink my coffee outside in the mornings."
City RV Parks is a family-owned establishment that provides a range of fundamental services to ensure a comfortable and functional stay for RVers. Their focus is on delivering essential amenities that cater to both short-term and long-term guests:
- **Full Hook-ups:** All sites are equipped with **full hook-ups**, including **electric (30 and 50 amp options), water, and sewer connections**. This is a standard and crucial service for any RV park, ensuring all your utility needs are met.
- **Gravel Sites:** The park features **gravel sites**, which are typically level and provide a stable base for RVs.
- **Pull-Through Spots:** For added convenience, especially for larger rigs, **pull-through sites** are available, making it easier to maneuver your RV without backing up.
- **On-Site Laundry:** The park includes an **on-site laundry facility**, which is an invaluable amenity for both transient travelers and long-term residents.

- **Dog Park:** For guests traveling with pets, a dedicated **dog park** is available, providing a designated area for furry companions to exercise.
While the services are comprehensive for an RV park, the quality of specific amenities like Wi-Fi and the overall guest experience can sometimes depend on the individual manager's interaction, as suggested by one review. However, the listed services indicate a commitment to providing a full-service RV park experience.
City RV Parks is known for several key features and highlights that contribute to its appeal for many RVers, despite some conflicting feedback. Its strengths lie in the essential comforts and a generally secure environment:
- **Quiet Place:** Many reviews highlight the park as a **"Quite place,"** providing a peaceful atmosphere that allows residents to sleep well and enjoy their surroundings without excessive noise.
- **High Level of Trust and Safety:** A significant highlight is the perception of **"Very highly trusted! No thievery, I sleep very well at night knowing my stuff is safe outside."** This strong emphasis on security and the absence of "crazies walking in and out, throughout at all hours of the night" is a major draw for long-term residents and those concerned about safety.
- **Beautiful Trees and Birdsong:** The park boasts **"Lots of beautiful trees to listen to the birds in and drink my coffee outside in the mornings."** This natural element enhances the tranquil atmosphere and provides a pleasant outdoor experience.
- **Cleanliness:** Positive reviews refer to the park as "very nice," suggesting a general level of cleanliness and maintenance across the facilities.
- **Long-Term and Short-Term Stays:** The park is suitable for "weither long term or not," indicating its flexibility in accommodating different lengths of stay, from overnight to several months.
- **Friendly Staff (Conflicting Review):** While one review mentions a difficult manager, another review highlights the park as "a very nice place." Online platforms like their official website also emphasize it as a "Family-owned RV Park in Mobile, Alabama," aiming for a welcoming environment. It is common for RV parks to have both positive and negative experiences reported, and the overall impression should be considered.
The stark contrast in reviews, particularly regarding management, is a notable point. While one highlights significant issues with the manager's approach, another praises the overall atmosphere and security. This suggests that individual experiences may vary, but the fundamental features of quietness and security are consistently valued by those who have a positive stay.

- $3.00 for an Extra Person (6 years and older).
- $5.00 for a Deluxe Package which includes Wi-Fi, Cable TV, Pull-thru, 50 Amps, or any combination.
- **Weekly and Monthly Rates Available:** The park explicitly states that **"Weekly and Monthly rates available."** These longer-term rates are almost always more economical per night than daily rates, offering a significant saving for extended stays. Prices "vary per season," indicating a dynamic pricing structure.
- **Rates based on 2 persons and tax inclusive.**

Customer Reviews
The park is in a dark side of town but the management does not like anyone but white southern people if he likes them. He's nosey as hell and has to be in command. I've backed my 5th wheel camper more miles than most pull there's forward. Especially him but when putting it in the site he was satisfied only when I allowed him to tell me how to put it in the site. Of course I paid his instructions no mind and put it where it needed to be my way. I stayed there for about 3 months and have had enough of him. 6 am during the week or weekend he had his helper running a Leif blower right outside my window or a mower or weed eater. Don't think you can work on your personal vehicle or even check the fluid levels without him having something to say about it. So if your car breaks on your lot don't even pop the hood or here comes Jimmy. It has been the worst campground I've ever been at all because of the manager Jimmy. There's a lot of other options available in the area. I would stear clear if City R.V PARK.
It is a very nice place weither long term or not. Quite place, not like some RV areas where there are crazies walking in and out, throughout at all hours of the night. Very highly trusted! No thievery, I sleep very well at night knowing my stuff is safe outside. Lots of beautiful trees to listen to the birds in and drink my coffee outside in the mornings.
JIM WILL NOT KEEP THE GROUNDS UP IN THE BACK!!!!! THE LOT WHERE THE DUMPSTER IS HAS NOT BEEN CUT PROPERLY IN YEARS!!!! I AM DISTURBED ON A REGULAR BASIS WITH TIM ON THAT RIDING LAWN MOWER. I COMPLAINED 3 YEARS AGO WITH NO RESULTS. I USUALLY DO NOT DO REVIEWS BUT JIM HAS LEFT ME NO CHOICE!!!!! I SUGGEST THE OWNERS DO A DRIVE THROUGH AND IF THEY ARE SATISFY THEN THAT SAYS ALOT ABOUT THEM!!!! They just cut the grass on the lot that the dumpsters on. The grass in the back of the lot is so tall that it's causing snakes and rats. The bushes on that lot are growing all over my home. I have cut those bushes for the past 3 years because no one else would. Once again they're growing all over my home it is not my responsibility. Get it together!!!! It is not fair that I have to live next door to a huge dumpster where the whole trailer park throws their filth and trash! Think about it. I'm living the consequences of it!
Not a resort RV park, but quiet and shady place to stay while working in the area. Pads are gravel, surrounded by grass. Lots of big trees for shade. 2 restroom/shower rooms, a little run down and in need of repair, but clean. Coin operated washers and drawers, bring quarters. Staff was helpful & friendly.
Had to move two or three different times in order to find a 30 amp plug. The original spot he told us was occupied. And in the process of moving I bent my steps my camper. The manager acts completely clueless. Not very organized or clean.
