Country Pines RV Park is strategically located at 5935 US-59, Marshall, TX 75670, USA. Its direct access to U.S. Highway 59 makes it exceptionally easy to find and enter, particularly for large RVs. This prominent location is a significant advantage for travelers passing through East Texas or looking for a convenient base from which to explore the Marshall area and beyond.
Marshall, Texas, is a historic city known for its rich past, beautiful architecture, and friendly atmosphere. It serves as a key city in Harrison County, offering a blend of small-town charm with access to essential urban amenities. The park's location on a major thoroughfare ensures that residents and guests have straightforward access to Marshall's various offerings.
Within a short drive, visitors can reach Marshall’s historic downtown, which boasts unique shops, local eateries, and significant landmarks like the Harrison County Historical Museum and the Texas & Pacific Railway Museum. For those who enjoy the outdoors, the park is situated in the Piney Woods of East Texas, providing opportunities for enjoying nature. Nearby attractions include Caddo Lake State Park, renowned for its cypress trees and excellent fishing, and Martin Creek Lake State Park, offering additional recreational activities. For more extensive shopping, dining, or healthcare needs, Marshall provides a full range of services. Furthermore, the park is approximately 40 miles from Shreveport, Louisiana, offering access to larger city amenities and entertainment options, including riverboat gambling. This combination of convenient highway access and proximity to both local charm and regional attractions makes Country Pines RV Park a well-situated stop for RVers in Texas.
Country Pines RV Park aims to provide core services essential for RV travelers and longer-term residents. Based on various public sources, the park offers a foundational set of amenities:
- Full RV Hookups: The park provides sites with full hookups, including 30 and 50 amp electric service, water, and sewer connections. This ensures that RVs can access all necessary utilities.
- Pull-Through Sites: A significant number of pull-through sites are available, making it easier for larger rigs to navigate and park without the need for complex maneuvering.
- Tent Camping: Country Pines RV Park also welcomes pop-up campers and tents, broadening its appeal to various types of campers.
- Laundry Facilities: On-site laundry facilities are available, providing a convenient amenity for guests to wash clothes during their stay.
- Restrooms and Showers: The park offers restrooms with hot showers, addressing a basic need for campers without full onboard facilities or those who prefer communal options.
- Free WiFi: Complimentary Wi-Fi is provided, allowing guests to stay connected for work, communication, or entertainment.
- Water Hookups and Well Water: Sites are equipped with water hookups, and the park utilizes well water.
- Sanitary Dump Station: A dump station is available for waste disposal.
- Pet-Friendly Policy: The park welcomes pets, allowing RVers to travel with their furry companions (though restrictions or fees should be confirmed directly).
However, it is crucial to address conflicting customer feedback regarding the condition and quality of some of these services. While official listings confirm the presence of restrooms, showers, and laundry, one critical review states that they "didn't even want to venture into the bathrooms" and were "not sure if there's even shower facilities," describing the "office" as a "one-room, dirty, cluttered portable building." This suggests that while services are listed, their cleanliness and maintenance may be a concern for some guests. Additionally, while electricity is offered, a review mentioned "rusted" and non-working outlets at some pull-through sites, indicating potential maintenance issues with utility connections.
Country Pines RV Park in Marshall, Texas, offers several features and highlights that contribute to its character as an RV destination, blending natural appeal with practical amenities.
- Friendly Community Vibe: One of the most significant highlights, as noted by a highly positive review, is the "very friendly" atmosphere, where "every single person I have met here has treated me like we have been friends for years." This suggests a strong sense of camaraderie and welcoming spirit among residents and guests.
- Natural Setting: The park is "nestled in the beautiful tall pines of Northeast Texas" and maintains a "natural setting" with "lots of pine trees," offering a rustic and country feel despite being on a major highway.
- Stocked Fishing Pond: A notable recreational feature is a "gorgeous stocked fishing lake" (or pond) on the property. This provides a relaxing activity for guests and adds to the natural ambiance. It's a "catch and release" pond.
- Walking Trails: The park offers walking trails, including one around the pond, allowing guests to enjoy strolls and connect with nature.
- Shaded Sites: Many sites are "large shady pull-thrus," providing comfort and protection from the Texas sun.
- Year-Round Operation: Country Pines RV Park is open "All Year" and welcomes "Winter Texans," making it a viable option for seasonal snowbirds seeking warmer climates.
- Convenient Location: Being "right off Hwy 59" offers excellent accessibility for travelers, providing the convenience of a major thoroughfare while maintaining a "country feel."
Conversely, it's essential to acknowledge a significant concern highlighted in a negative review: the park is described as "very run-down" and "unappealing," with issues such as rusted electrical outlets, a dirty office, and concerns about bathroom cleanliness. The review also notes the absence of a playground for kids, suggesting a lack of certain family-oriented amenities. While the natural features like the pond are appreciated, the overall condition of facilities is a point of contention for some guests. This indicates a mixed experience, where the natural setting and friendly people are strong points, but the infrastructure and maintenance might be a drawback for others.
Specific, publicly advertised promotions or special offers for Country Pines RV Park are not consistently detailed in all public information. However, like many RV parks, they do offer various rate structures and affiliations.
- Daily, Weekly, and Extended Stay Rates: The park offers flexible rates for different durations of stay, catering to both overnight travelers and those looking for longer-term accommodation. You would need to "Call for Prices" for these rates.
- Good Sam Club Discounts: Country Pines RV Park is listed as a Good Sam Verified Campground and offers discounts for Good Sam Club members. This is a significant saving for members of this popular RV club.
- Pet-Friendly (Call for Restrictions/Fees): While pets are welcome, there may be specific restrictions or fees, which could be considered a form of offer or policy, as it allows pet owners to bring their companions.
- Rates include 2 adults and 2 children: This is a standard inclusion that might be seen as a feature of the pricing structure rather than a separate promotion.

Its suitability for locals depends heavily on individual priorities and expectations, as the park offers a blend of positive community aspects and areas that require attention.
The most compelling draw of Country Pines RV Park is undoubtedly its friendly atmosphere. Its location directly on US-59 offers excellent accessibility for travelers across Texas, making it a practical choice for both short-term and extended stays.
However, it is crucial for prospective visitors to be aware of the reported concerns regarding the park's condition. Descriptions of "run-down" facilities, potentially non-working electrical outlets, and concerns about restroom cleanliness indicate that the physical infrastructure may not meet everyone's standards. For those who prioritize modern, meticulously maintained amenities, a thorough inquiry and potentially an on-site inspection are highly recommended. For Texans who value a friendly community, a natural setting, and convenient access, and are willing to overlook or verify reported issues with some amenities, Country Pines RV Park could serve its purpose as a functional and friendly place to stay in Marshall, Texas. It serves as a reminder that sometimes the true value of a place lies in its people and surroundings, even if the facilities are a work in progress.
Customer Reviews
Very friendly...every single person I have met here has treated me like we have been friends for years. Thank you Marshall!!!
Would give zero stars if I could. Very run-down. Some outlets at the pull throughs were rusted and didn't work. The "office" is a one-room, dirty, cluttered portable building. I didn't even want to venture into the bathrooms. Not sure if there's even shower facilities. Nice pond on the property though. Given someone with the time, money, and knowledge on how to renovate this park, it could be really nice but it is now very run down and unappealing. No playground for our kids, don't know about laundry. We only needed one night so it served it's purpose, but I'd stay in a Wal-Mart parking lot before staying here again.
I would like Country Pines I lived there for a while got the prettiest blind reason the tallest
This park dope. Came in 'round 10pm, office was closed but there was a number. Debated on calling since it was so late. Decided to call. Dude on the phone was nice as could be. Came right on down to the office and signed us up. Showed us 'round and gave us the best spot. Free wifi, an' fishin'. This place is great I may never leave. Gotta watch out for the guard spider though, half the size of your hand and thinks he owns the men's bathroom. Just show him whose boss. He cool.
I live here, and I love it. My neighbors are nice, and the manager, Jerry, is always around looking out for us and helping us out anyway he can! Come on through and say hi!
