We spent the most heavenly and absolutely wonderful weekend at crab tree falls campground! We had a group of 6 and booked 2 tent sites to share and ended up with plenty of space between the both of them for 2 large tents, chairs around the fire, tables, hanging out, and making food. Our site neighbors were close by but this didn’t bother us! We were able to park our cars conveniently close but still out of sight and out of the way. There was no cell service but this wasn’t a problem at all because if we needed to get in contact with anyone it was just a short walk up to the camp store where we could connect to wifi. The owners made this an unforgettable experience by recommending the most beautiful hikes just a short drive from the campground. Thank you Sue! She was so welcoming and took such good care of us! The campground was so perfect we didn’t want to leave but we were glad that we spent a day out exploring! We just loved this area of Virginia! Truly a hidden gem. We were blown away by the beauty of the nature surrounding us. Falling asleep to the sound of the rolling river right next to our tent is an experience I’ll be chasing for the rest of my life! I can for sure say that this is the best campground I’ve ever been to! Clean and well maintained while still being completely overtaken by nature and feeling untouched by humans. The perfect relaxing get away. Thank you crab tree falls!

Had a great time at this campsite. Booked online, no issues. I called the camp to ask a question about a pair of sites. They responded within a day and provided exactly what I needed to know. The gentlemen at the check in was great, low key and chill. He showed us where to go and pointed out a few amenities in case we were interested. Bottom line: the camp sites are great especially the ones by the river. Come with family or friends, you won't be disappointed.

On our first trip with our newborn we were met and accommodated by the most generous campground hosts Sue & Jim who went above and beyond. The campground sits directly next to a creek that gives the campground a charming ambiance. Crabtree falls is less than a half mile from the campground. We loved our stay!

I'm 54 years old. I went here when I was 7 years old with my father. Looking at these photos brings back so many fond memories. My father is no longer on 🌎 but I hope he in a place like this. Hope to see again and we can go camping and fishing on creek like this. This was closest I been to heaven during my time on this earth. Caught my fish rainbow trout here with my dad. Still feel like a child thinking about him.parents don't under estemate the beautiful memories that can fill a child for a life time and being the most valuable one's being out in God's wonder land he gave to us.
