  • Seasonal Sites: The campground explicitly offers "seasonal sites," which is a significant service for campers looking for a long-term, dedicated spot for their RV or camper throughout the camping season. This convenience is highly valued by many Wisconsin residents.

  • Basic Utilities (Likely for Seasonal Sites): While not explicitly detailed for all sites, seasonal sites typically come with water and electrical hookups (and sometimes sewer), allowing for a more comfortable extended stay. It is crucial for prospective campers to confirm hookup availability for specific sites.

  • Peaceful Environment: The campground aims to provide a setting "hidden away from traffic and crowds," implying a service of offering a tranquil camping experience.

It is important to address some concerns raised in reviews regarding services. One reviewer mentioned that the campground "Does not properly spray pest repellent to make it comfortable," indicating potential issues with insect management. Another review highlighted "Broken glass and needle were found in sandbox play area," suggesting that cleanliness and safety in common areas, particularly for families, have been a concern. The statement "Does not like guests in park, don't expect to have fun with family" is a serious accusation regarding the campground's hospitality towards visitors.

DJ Kojo Campground presents several notable features and highlights, though it's important to consider both positive and negative feedback from past visitors to form a complete picture.

  • Spacious and Hidden Sites: A key highlight is that the sites are described as "Amazing and spacious," providing ample room for campers. The fact that it is "hidden away from traffic and crowds" contributes to a sense of peaceful seclusion, which is highly sought after by many campers.

  • Seasonal Site Availability: The offering of "seasonal sites" is a major feature for those in Wisconsin seeking a long-term camping base. This allows campers to establish a semi-permanent home for their RV or camper, eliminating the need for frequent setup and tear-down.

However, it is crucial to acknowledge significant concerns raised by other reviews, which should be considered features (or lack thereof) from a user perspective:

  • Pest Management Issues: The complaint that the campground "Does not properly spray pest repellent to make it comfortable" indicates a potential challenge with insects, which can significantly impact the camping experience, particularly in Wisconsin summers.

  • Concerns about Guest Policy/Fun: The severe feedback, "Does not like guests in park, don't expect to have fun with family," points to a restrictive atmosphere regarding visitors or group activities, which could be a deterrent for families or those who enjoy socializing with extended family at their campsite.

  • Safety Concerns in Play Areas: The report of "Broken glass and needle were found in sandbox play area" is a critical safety issue, especially for families with children. This suggests a significant lapse in maintenance and safety protocols that prospective campers must be aware of.

  • Suitability for Families Questioned: Directly, one reviewer stated, "Would not recommend for families" due to the aforementioned safety and guest policy issues.

Prospective campers are strongly advised to contact the campground directly to inquire about these specific concerns and assess recent improvements or policy changes before booking, especially if traveling with children or planning to host visitors.

This allows individuals or families to have a consistent base camp for an entire season, often at a more economical rate than booking nightly or weekly stays. This can include benefits like leaving an RV set up for months, eliminating frequent travel and setup.

  • Long-Term Value: Choosing a seasonal site typically provides better value over time for frequent campers, reducing per-night costs significantly and offering a sense of community for regular visitors.

I have 2 police reports against Jeanne kojo's dog/dog (the other passed away this winter). 3 unprovoked attacks. 2 on me, 1 causing puncture wounds and a hospital visit/ police report. Other one didn't draw blood and I chose not to contact police. The 3rd time, their dog D attacked my dog unprovoked. As my dog coward in fear, D bit a hole that required a vet visit plus police report. Ask any of the other seasoned campers, everyone is scared of their current dog and dog that passed away. They do not keep him on a leash. Another camper 2 years ago had their dog viciously attacked by Jeanne kojo's dog which caused stitches. I have proof to everything I just wrote. You and your dogs are at risk for bodily harm if you come here. Beyond unacceptable. Dave kojo is a great guy however. This is strictly a Jeanne kojo problem. She's beat Dave down to a voiceless scared man afraid to stick up for himself against her. Go elsewhere.

Awesome campground that primarily accommodates seasonal campers but also great place for a weekend RV'er to pull in and relax. 20 minutes from the Dells and just minutes away from the Wisconsin River.
