Located in beautiful Bucks County, right off the historic Delaware Canal towpath, Dogwood Haven offers a rustic and tranquil setting that prioritizes natural beauty and local adventure over resort-style amenities. It's the perfect destination for families, couples, and solo travelers—especially those passionate about cycling, hiking, and river activities.
Often described by seasonal residents and first-time visitors alike as "not fancy, but rustic and reasonably-priced," the campground focuses on providing the essential comforts: clean facilities, necessary hookups, and a genuinely welcoming atmosphere. The owner, Mark, is consistently praised as a "wonderful" and "very accommodating" host who ensures every guest feels the warm, community spirit of the campground. With only 55 wooded sites, including dedicated spots for tenters, Dogwood Haven maintains a low-key, private feel that is increasingly rare in the popular Delaware River Valley.

A seasonal site-renter for the past 14 years and love the campground. Not fancy, but rustic and reasonably-priced. Has water, electric, firewood, picnic table, campfire area, central toilet and shower facilities, and waste removal services. Also, three sites for tenters and pet friendly. Mark is a wonderful owner and is very accommodating. Located above the canal paths and close to the Delaware River and Giving Pond. Across from the towns of Milford and Frenchtown on the NJ side of the river.
Aug 21, 2025 · Philip Yourish (Phil)Such a lovely campground right off the tow path. We had the pleasure of meeting, Mark, the owner a few weeks back on a bikepacking trip and loved it so much we came back again. We spent the day biking and hiking around Ringing Rocks- we ran out of time not things to do! Can't wait to come back again before the season ends.
Sep 08, 2020 · Lindsey HammaI absolutely love this place. The owner is super friendly. It's quite and very convenient because it so close to the river and lakes.
Jun 07, 2020 · Nora MagrasI have been camping at Dogwood Haven for years. We started in 2000 when we could only tent camp. Then in 2008, we purchased a 24 foot RV until 2013 when we upgraded to a 35 foot RV. In each stage, the owner, Mark made sure we were in a site that meet the need of our rig as well as our needs. Each site has water, electric and a fireplace with picnic table. Service elect can provide individuals with cable, internet and phone. We get the basic cable with internet that we use with Poku. Roku allows us to watch pretty much anything we want. And wifi allows us to use our electronic devices. The campground has few amenities. But there are a men's and women's shower room. You can also purchased firewood. Campers can also walk to the canal. The tow path allows you to hike north to a general store that offers meals coffee, snacks and basic needs. You can also cross over the Milford Bridge into NJ. They're is pizza and a bagel shop there as well as other stores. Hiking South leads you to the Frenchies bridge where you can cross into Frenchtown NJ. They have s pizza shop, ice cream, Bridge Cafe and other stores including antique shops. You can also remain in the tire path to Tinucum park and if you are really motivated, you can ride 10 miles south to Dillies Ice cream shop at the Stockton Bridge.
Jun 21, 2018 · Don WoodringWould be happy to camp here again. Had a great experience! Stayed here one night while on a bike trip. The owner is one of the friendliest and helpful people I’ve ever met. Felt like I was family! It’s very accessible to get to off of the towpath, so it made it very convenient. And the prices are very reasonable.
