I loved loving here for the first couple years and used to bring treats to the office for the community. The family of deer would play in the field out back. Then new owners have arrived on Labor Day weekend. No notice to us. Just old employees gone and papers taped to our doors. I had already paid with a money order before the change, but the new company didn't accept that. Took them two weeks to find the money order in THEIR office. Then I had to go to bank to put that back into my account and use the online portal to pay them with a new usage fee. And they were calling my phone within twenty minutes while I was at the bank, wanting the rent paid. Sounds shady and greedy. So I wanted to moved out and give them notice. They closed for over two weeks during holidays and into January. When they reopened, I went in person, and they wanted a written letter, so I did that, then an email, so I did that, and did NOT say that there's a feature on the portal online. Also she claimed they could look into doing a pro rated about for February since it will partly cover. Portal didn't have that, but I paid for February, even through I Don't live there anymore. And I talked to a person claiming to be an owner said a possible pro rate as well. Now they claim that isn't something they said. Also falsely claimed I signed a lease in November. I called the Farmington hills Police to update them and ask about this. The detective said if they produce a forged document, then they can take action.
Feb 05, 2025 · William DavisBEWARE!!! this place is an ABSOLUTE scam! i was forced to move out of my home because new owners are tearing down all the homes. understandably, i found a new home. a month goes by and i had yet to receive any information on my security deposit. i called the office multiple times without any answer. FINALLY i got someone on the phone and explain how i hadn’t received my deposit. dawn told me something got messed up and i should have received this deposit already. i then explain now i have not received anything. she tell me she has to look into it. so i give her some time and another week goes by and i still have yet to hear back from them. so im calling again— still now answer. i’m calling so much i feel like im harassing them at this point. a different lady (kara) answered the phone and i again have to explain everything. she then tells me i would have never gotten it because they don’t do direct deposit for returns. she then tells me she also has to look into this and figure out what’s going on. more times goes by without a call. so.. here i am calling again. the lady then tells me she will be sending a check out to my new address. now it’s been two weeks and i still have yet to receive the check they claimed they mailed out two weeks ago. so… i call again. the lady THEN tells me im no longer receiving my full amount because i left the place a disaster. which didn’t make sense if they had “already sent out a check” for the FULL amount. i told her that it was literally impossible because i kept that home immaculate as well as i have video proof of the whole home. then she goes to explain a different reason on why im not getting my money back. meanwhile it has been TWO months at this point that i had been moved out. by the state of michigan if a deposit is not returned within 30 days they are obligated to give you the full deposit regardless of the way it was left. even tho i left the place as clean as possible. i had to threaten them with getting someone involved before they FINALLY decided to send my full amount back to me. the new owners are ABSOLUTELY TRASH and only want your money. DO NOT BUY/RENT FROM HERE!!! i definitely miss my home but i would NEVERRRRR come back with the new management.
May 02, 2025 · Diana BuchlerToday is Sunday 3/9/2025. Someone claiming to be the owner just called my sister a telling her the court ordered her to SELL HER HOME. She has NEVER received ANYTHING from the courts about ANYTHING. These people are harassing my sister who is a disabled senior. Now it's gotten to the point where WE (ppl that love and care about her) are SICK OF IT. This has been going on since September when they first got there. My sister was in the hospital having emergency surgery when they made the transition. When she explained to them that she wasn't aware of new ownership because of her hospital stay, the women in the office told her it was not their problem. When she responded, they threatened her with eviction. She pays her rent early every month and feels helpless. If anyone can help, please respond.
Mar 09, 2025 · doriansmom1Our home of almost 7 years was stolen from us by the new owners of Flamingo.. We sold to a neighbor who had been a renter for 9years. The office wanted him to buy his rental only. They made him pay for a new approval and then DENIED him because he can not show PAY STUBS which he does not get..... He gets direct deposit! And they would not take bank statements as proof of income. So they denied him and we lost the money. We had already purchased a new home , so had to give our Flamingo home to the park. He is moving out. We have moved out. Others have moved out. The new owners/management are not doing good business. They fired all the good maintenance crew, raised the rent twice within 3 months, and have yet to have any leases to be signed. Don't buy here. You will regret it. They are ruled by some California corporation.
Feb 06, 2025 · Nancy StreckThis park is not the same..not in a good way either. Had two 24 packs of coke-Cole delivered from Walmart. It was delivered to abandoned trailer next door to me. And it is gone had our name and trailer on package. Got delivery notification and could tell by picture which trailer it was delivered too. Well who ever decided to take and keep it. I hope you enjoy the 48 cans of coke. It was for my mother in law on hospice...again watch your stuff seems to be some dishonest peps around here now
