Customer Reviews
The place is nice enough to look at..Clean facilities..But the dude that is managing it is a complete, first class ahole.! He was all up in our business and always stopping to complain about SOMETHING..!! He was so rude that we will not be back to camp there!! Not ever! We tried to rent 2 spaces bc our rig was so big that the truck had to either stick out in the road, or park catty- cornered, which would have been in the way if somebody tried to park in the spot beside us.. So we asked to rent that spot as well..That way the spot would be paid for..They would not lose money..But he declined..And said we could just leave..If I could give it a zero, I would..Friendly people are a must when running a park like this..If they got a new manager, then I would be happy to go there again..But that was the worst experience at a camp ground that I've ever had to deal with..
It's a nice campground, clean restrooms, nice park. Only problem was the care taker. He complained about every little thing, kept saying it's in the rules, yet he refuses to follow the rules. He closes the gate at 7 pm every night, not supposed to be closed until 10pm. Won't be back with him there
Nice clean facility. We rent the pavilion out every year for a family Christmas party. It’s air conditioned but also has a fireplace. Plenty of room for the kids to roam. Bring your fishing pole.
I found this place while looking for a different campground, and what a fantastic accident it was! This is a beautiful area on Lake Stone, surrounded by amazing views and wildlife. March 2024 had the lake full of ducks and geese, skimming across the water. Plenty of fishing and kayaking to be had as well. Very quiet and peaceful! Many of the spots in the back are right on the lake, paved with electric (30 and 50 amp) and water hookups. There were 2 dump sites, a pavilion, a playground, and a bathouse with hot showers and flush toulets. As I can tell there wasn't a way to reserve ahead as it is 1st come, 1st served...we just picked a spot and settled up with the campground manager in the morning. The camp manager and camp host were both very friendly, available, and responsive. 20 bucks a night is a tremendous value for this place!!!
We often go get fast food and bring it to the boat ramp side for a peaceful little get away. Usually just a few people fishing and relaxing. It's never that crowded. This was one of those evenings and the sunset just made it that much better.
