Customer Reviews
I wouldn't recommend living in this community unless you don't have or plan to have children. Management are sticklers about leaving items in your yard so no large items for your children to play on. It wouldn't be so bad if there was a playground or central place of kids to play. Also, when your children start to drive hopefully don't have to many kids cuz you will have an issue with having too many vehicles and will get vehicles tagged indicating will be towed. I was SO happy to move out of this park.
I love living here, it's been great and the management team has always been nothing but helpful and accommodating. My one and only complaint are the new speed bumps. They are too aggressive and while they may be "regulation" hight they are too steep. Everyone who visits me comments on it, regardless of how you drive the back end of you vehicle lands very hard. Recently my rear bumper was almost ripped completely off my car. You can't even creep over them. My heart sinks everytime I go over one. If not for these things I would give this place a 5 star for being safe and quiet and calm and affordable.
My experience was VERY disheartening. I attempted to purchase a home there. I had a signed purchase agreement with the seller and paid a $1,000 deposit. I paid $75 in application fees and was approved. On top of that I wasted 2 weeks as in the end the owner and manager ended up purchasing the home for less than I was willing to pay because (I presume) they wanted to flip it for a profit. I am not a perfect man but I go out of my way to do right and do good to others. Integrity and honesty are indispensable characteristics. I was never contacted or given a phone call or explanation. Tread carefully here.
I have family that lives here that I come to visit very infrequently but every time I do, the park looks great. I know they enforce strict rules for appearance of the outside at each lot. The park manager, Bobbi, is wonderful and very knowledgeable.
Do not move here!! Most are afraid to leave bad reviews as they don’t want to be “picked on” by management. I moved here in a hurry and it was well known I was in need of a home and was willing to pay cash. I was told I would have an answer in plenty of time; I did not and was not able to get an inspection and management knew this! I have spent thousands and thousands in repairs!! You name It I had to replace or fix it. I’m convinced the prior owners simply left as I received all of their mail for a year. Important mail! So Fenton Oaks did a wonderful job of patching up things to “appear” as if this place was in order; it was anything but that. The house leans, electrical had to be replaced, plumbing most of it repaired, floors were moldy, black mold underneath so those had to be replaced, lot is slanted, frames are falling a part, roof needs to be repaired next and new hvac. I paid cash and not a little, a lot. I have thought about simply leaving but every penny I had is wrapped up in this money pit. Things were rigged up that were only going to hold up for months; just enough time for the ink to dry. I have thought about looking into any rights I may have as I know management knew of all the issues this place had. I can’t call it a home and it’s taken all of my savings to do what I have done so far. No ethics! Period! It was more important to get that commission then to warn me of all the repairs that will need to be made. They actually will fine you a fee if a skirting piece is missing?! Mine is all crushed due to place actually tilting, no exaggeration it tilts on the side. This was a mistake I can’t wait to remove myself and my family from!! Find a better place with morals and newer homes...not worth it here!
