Flying Cloud Mobile Home Park About

For many Floridians seeking an affordable and stable place to call home, mobile home parks often present a viable option. In the bustling city of Tampa, various communities cater to diverse needs and budgets. Flying Cloud Mobile Home Park is one such establishment, located in a convenient North Tampa area. As with any housing choice, understanding the full picture – the advantages, the potential challenges, and the everyday realities – is crucial for making an informed decision, especially for local residents looking to settle down.

The current economic climate has placed increasing pressure on housing budgets across the United States, and Florida is no exception. In this environment, finding housing that offers "affordable rent" becomes a significant priority for many. Flying Cloud Mobile Home Park is noted by residents for this very reason, providing a potentially more budget-friendly alternative to traditional apartment rentals or homeownership in the greater Tampa area. This affordability is a key factor that draws attention to the park, especially as residents navigate the current economic landscape.

However, like any community, Flying Cloud Mobile Home Park has its own unique characteristics and challenges. Public feedback indicates that while the rent may be appealing, there are areas where the park could see improvement, particularly concerning maintenance and water supply. Our aim here is to provide a balanced, factual overview based on available public information, helping local Floridians weigh their options as they search for a suitable place to live in the Tampa Bay region.

Location and Accessibility

Flying Cloud Mobile Home Park is strategically located at 14205 N Nebraska Ave, Tampa, FL 33613, USA. This North Tampa address offers residents a good balance of suburban tranquility and urban accessibility. Nebraska Avenue is a major north-south artery in Tampa, meaning residents have direct and relatively easy access to a wide range of essential services, commercial centers, and entertainment options. The convenience of this location is a significant draw for many.

For daily necessities, residents of Flying Cloud Mobile Home Park will find numerous grocery stores, pharmacies, and various retail outlets within a short driving distance. This reduces the time and effort spent on errands, contributing to a more relaxed lifestyle. The area surrounding N Nebraska Ave is well-served by public transportation routes, offering bus services that connect residents to different parts of Tampa. This is particularly beneficial for individuals who prefer not to drive, or for those who need reliable transport to work, medical appointments, or leisure activities across the city.

Furthermore, the park’s location provides relatively quick access to major Tampa landmarks and employment hubs. Universities, hospitals, and significant commercial districts are typically within a reasonable commute. For those who enjoy the outdoors, various local parks and recreational facilities are also accessible. While it's not a direct coastal location, Tampa's renowned beaches and waterfront attractions are within an enjoyable drive, making weekend excursions feasible. The central location in North Tampa ensures that residents are well-connected to the vibrant life of the city while residing in a dedicated community.

Services Offered

Based on the limited public information available through reviews, the explicit list of services offered by Flying Cloud Mobile Home Park is not comprehensive. However, we can infer some standard services typical of mobile home parks, alongside issues highlighted by residents:

  • Affordable Lot Rent: A primary "service" or feature highlighted by residents is the affordability of the rent. This makes living in Tampa more accessible for individuals and families on a budget.
  • Well Water Supply: The park provides water services to its residents, utilizing a well water system. While this can offer benefits like no monthly water bills from a municipality, residents have noted it can be "inconvenient," which may imply issues with pressure, quality, or hardness that sometimes accompany well water. It is generally the responsibility of the park to ensure the well water meets safety standards through regular testing.
  • Mobile Home Lots: The park provides dedicated lots for mobile homes, allowing residents to place their owned units within the community.
  • Basic Maintenance (Reported Issues): While a mobile home park typically offers some level of common area and infrastructure maintenance, resident feedback specifically mentions "terrible maintenance work done." This indicates that while maintenance services may be offered, their quality or responsiveness might be a concern for residents. This could pertain to roads, common facilities, or utility systems within the park.
  • Management Availability: One review indicates challenges in reaching the "landlord" by phone, suggesting that communication or consistent availability of management could be an area of concern. Mobile home parks typically aim to have accessible management for resident inquiries and issues.
Features / Highlights

Flying Cloud Mobile Home Park presents several features, with some aspects being highlights for residents and others being areas of concern:

  • Cost-Effective Living: The most frequently cited positive feature is the "affordable rent." In a city like Tampa, where housing costs can be significant, this makes Flying Cloud an attractive option for those on a tight budget. This affordability allows residents to allocate more of their income to other necessities or savings.
  • North Tampa Location: Its placement on N Nebraska Ave provides convenient access to urban amenities, including shopping, dining, and public transportation. This offers a blend of community living with city conveniences.
  • Community Housing Option: For individuals or families looking for mobile home living, the park offers dedicated lots. This provides an alternative to traditional stick-built homes or apartment rentals.
  • Well Water System (with caveats): The park utilizes well water, which can sometimes be seen as a benefit due to the absence of municipal water bills. However, residents' comments about "hard well water" suggest that the water quality might present challenges, such as mineral buildup or taste issues, which may require residents to invest in their own filtration or softening solutions.

On the other hand, it is important to acknowledge the reported challenges:

  • Maintenance Quality Concerns: A significant highlight-turned-challenge is the feedback on "terrible maintenance work done." This suggests that residents might face issues with the upkeep of park facilities or common areas, which can impact daily living.
  • Communication Difficulties: The difficulty in reaching the landlord or management by phone, especially outside typical business hours, indicates a potential gap in resident support and responsiveness. Effective communication with park management is crucial for addressing concerns and ensuring a smooth living experience.
Promotions or Special Offers

Based on the provided customer reviews and public information, there are no specific promotions or special offers currently advertised for Flying Cloud Mobile Home Park. In communities like this, affordability is often the primary draw rather than temporary discounts. However, it is always advisable for prospective residents to directly contact the park management to inquire about any current incentives or specific terms that might be available.

Mobile home parks, especially those focused on long-term residents, sometimes offer:

  • Lease-term discounts: Lower monthly rates for signing longer leases.
  • Referral bonuses: Benefits for current residents who refer new ones.
  • Assistance with home placement: Help with the logistics of moving a mobile home onto a lot.

Given the feedback about communication challenges, it is recommended to try the provided phone numbers during standard business hours and be persistent. Any potential savings or unique arrangements would need to be confirmed directly with the park's administrative office.

However, it is equally important for locals to be aware of the reported challenges, particularly concerning maintenance and the well water system. While affordability is a major advantage, potential residents should be prepared to assess the implications of "terrible maintenance work" and "hard well water." This might involve budgeting for personal water filtration solutions or being proactive in communicating maintenance concerns. Similarly, the reported difficulties in reaching management by phone highlight the need for clear communication channels and perhaps a more flexible approach to inquiries for prospective residents.

Ultimately, Flying Cloud Mobile Home Park is suitable for locals who prioritize low-cost housing in a convenient Tampa location and are willing to navigate the existing challenges related to maintenance and water. It serves as a practical solution for those who are resilient and resourceful, understanding that the economic benefits might require some personal adaptation or advocacy. For many Floridians, finding an affordable base in a desirable city like Tampa is a primary goal, and Flying Cloud Mobile Home Park offers that possibility, allowing residents to live within their means while enjoying the vibrant life of the region.

This place is a dump. Code enforcement needs to shut this place down. The landlord does not even care about tenants nor does he care about the condition the park is. He is nothing but $$$ and greed. Don’t move here.

Do not rent from them. They have horrible bookkeeping and will Jack U 4 rent they say is unpaid. They tried to get me for $300 but I moved out on their ass. They're trailers have rats bed bugs and roaches. You really need to stay away from this trailer park I've lived there twice and both experiences were absolutely horrifying. Trailers or not up to code the floors are not flat I just highly advise that you stay away. The owner Ray is getting old and senile. So you already know how that's going to go
