Frontier Travel Park About

For many residents and visitors in Florida, the allure of RV living or finding a long-term spot for a mobile home is strong. The Sunshine State offers a unique blend of natural beauty, vibrant cities, and a laid-back lifestyle that makes it a popular destination for those on the go or seeking a more flexible living arrangement. When considering an RV park or mobile home community in the Tampa area, it's essential to gather all available information to make an informed decision. This article aims to provide an overview of Frontier Travel Park, located in Tampa, Florida, based on publicly available data, helping you understand what to expect.

The landscape of RV parks and mobile home communities can be dynamic, with changes in ownership, management, and operational status. It's crucial for prospective residents or short-term visitors to conduct thorough research and, whenever possible, visit a location in person before committing. Understanding the current situation of any given park, including its management practices and resident experiences, is paramount for a positive outcome.

Frontier Travel Park has been a part of the Tampa landscape for some time. Public records and various online platforms aim to provide details about such establishments. However, sometimes this information can be conflicting or outdated, making direct inquiry and careful observation even more important. Our goal here is to present the information available about Frontier Travel Park to assist Floridians in their search for the right RV or mobile home accommodation.

Location and Accessibility

Frontier Travel Park is situated at 13212 N Nebraska Ave, Tampa, FL 33612, USA. This location places it within the larger urban fabric of Tampa, a major city on Florida's Gulf Coast. North Nebraska Avenue is a significant thoroughfare, providing relatively easy access to various parts of the city and surrounding areas. For RV travelers, direct access to main roads is often a key consideration, as navigating large vehicles through dense residential areas can be challenging.

Being in Tampa, residents and visitors at this address would typically have access to a wide range of urban amenities. These include, but are not limited to, grocery stores, pharmacies, healthcare facilities, dining options, and retail establishments. Public transportation availability, while varying by specific location, is generally present within a city like Tampa, which could be a factor for those without personal vehicles or those who prefer not to drive for every errand. Proximity to major highways, such as I-275 and I-75, would facilitate travel for RVers arriving from or departing to other parts of Florida or beyond. Additionally, Tampa offers numerous recreational opportunities, including parks, cultural attractions, and proximity to the beautiful Gulf beaches, which could be appealing to long-term residents or those on an extended stay.

The specific neighborhood surrounding 13212 N Nebraska Ave is likely to be mixed, characteristic of urban and suburban interfaces, potentially including residential areas, commercial businesses, and other service-oriented establishments. Understanding the immediate surroundings can contribute to a better sense of the daily living experience at this location.

Services Offered

Based on the provided public information, explicit details about the specific services offered by Frontier Travel Park are not readily available in a comprehensive list. However, typical services expected from an RV park or mobile home community generally include:

  • RV Site Hookups: This would typically involve providing electrical hookups (various amp services), water, and sewer connections for RVs.
  • Mobile Home Lots: For longer-term residents with mobile homes, the park would provide lots for permanent or semi-permanent placement, often with utility connections.
  • Community Maintenance: Basic upkeep of common areas, roads within the park, and general grounds.
  • On-Site Management: A management presence for addressing resident inquiries, handling payments, and enforcing park rules.

It is important to note that without direct confirmation from the park's management or official sources, this list represents general expectations for such a facility rather than confirmed services at Frontier Travel Park. Residents' experiences, as noted in public reviews, suggest that the actual provision and quality of services may be a significant concern. For example, comments about "raw sewage and waste" and "not up to any codes" indicate potential issues with fundamental services and infrastructure. While these are serious allegations, they highlight the critical need for prospective residents to thoroughly investigate the actual conditions and services offered on-site.

Features / Highlights

Based on the public information and resident reviews, the "features" or "highlights" of Frontier Travel Park present a complex picture. It's crucial to present these as reported, rather than as endorsements:

  • Operational Status: Despite some online reports stating "permanently closed," resident reviews clearly indicate that the park is currently operational. This discrepancy is a notable point of confusion for the public.
  • Location in Tampa: Its address on N Nebraska Ave provides a specific geographical reference within Tampa, offering urban access.
  • Management Presence: There is a named manager, Steve, who is actively involved in the park's operations, as frequently mentioned in resident feedback.
  • Housing Options: The park accommodates both RVs and mobile homes/trailers, indicating a mix of temporary and more permanent residents. Some residents own their trailers, which suggests a certain level of long-term tenancy.

However, it is equally important to acknowledge the widely reported negative experiences and allegations, which are presented as significant "lowlights" or concerns from existing and past residents. These include:

  • Allegations of Illegal Evictions and Harassment: Multiple reviews detail severe accusations against the manager, including claims of illegal evictions, harassment, and fraudulent paperwork.
  • Concerns about Property Conditions: Reports mention "raw sewage and waste," trailers not being "legal or title owned," and properties not being "up to any codes." There are also comments about "condemned" conditions.
  • Issues with Management Conduct: The manager is described in highly negative terms, including "crook," "evil individual," "bully," and "jerk," with accusations of paying off police and allowing maintenance workers to abuse drugs and live rent-free.
  • Loss of Belongings: Former residents report losing their life-long possessions and sentimental items due to alleged illegal evictions.

These severe concerns represent significant features that any potential resident should be acutely aware of and investigate thoroughly before considering this park.

Promotions or Special Offers

Based on the provided information, there are no publicly advertised promotions or special offers for Frontier Travel Park. Given the nature of the reviews, it is highly unlikely that any promotional activities are currently a focus for the park. Prospective residents should prioritize verifying the park's operational status and current conditions directly with the management, or through local authorities, rather than seeking special offers.

Contact Information

The primary contact information available for Frontier Travel Park is its physical address:

Address: 13212 N Nebraska Ave, Tampa, FL 33612, USA

Please note that no phone number or official website for Frontier Travel Park was provided in the given information. This lack of direct contact information can make it challenging for prospective residents to inquire further or verify details before visiting. Given the serious allegations in public reviews, it is highly recommended that any interested parties conduct thorough independent research beyond simply relying on online listings. This might include checking with local governmental agencies, such as city or county code enforcement, housing authorities, or legal aid services, to investigate the park's current legal status, permits, and any reported complaints or violations.

Conclusion: Why this place is suitable for locals

When evaluating the suitability of Frontier Travel Park for locals in the Florida region, especially those in Tampa, it is imperative to approach with extreme caution and a full understanding of the public information available. While the concept of an RV park or mobile home community can offer an affordable and flexible housing solution, the widely reported negative experiences and serious allegations against Frontier Travel Park's management and conditions make it difficult to recommend without significant caveats.

Typically, an ideal RV park for locals would offer a safe, well-maintained, and legally compliant environment. It would provide reliable utility services, clear and fair tenancy agreements, and responsive, professional management. Residents would expect a sense of community, security, and a place where their investment in their home, whether an RV or mobile home, is respected.

However, the public reviews for Frontier Travel Park describe a starkly different reality, characterized by serious accusations of illegal evictions, fraudulent practices, unhygienic conditions (such as raw sewage), and management behaving in an allegedly abusive and unlawful manner. Claims of properties not being up to code, unlicensed maintenance workers, and a general environment of fear and instability are deeply concerning. Such an environment is inherently unsuitable for any resident, local or otherwise, seeking a stable and decent place to live. The reports of homelessness and loss of cherished belongings due to alleged illegal actions are particularly distressing and should serve as a strong warning.

While the park's location on N Nebraska Ave in Tampa might initially appear convenient due to its urban accessibility, this advantage is overwhelmingly overshadowed by the severe operational and ethical issues reported. For Floridians seeking an RV park or mobile home community, it is paramount to prioritize safety, legal compliance, and ethical management. Based on the provided public reviews, Frontier Travel Park, as currently described, appears to fall far short of these fundamental requirements. Locals are strongly advised to seek alternative housing solutions that can guarantee a secure, lawful, and dignified living experience.

Frontier Park has a marvelous character all its own. With an origin and retro character of the 1950's and 60' ... one will see the artistic efforts of the entire community working together to restore the "fun" times and more from the past. Now more of a sanctuary of beautiful domestic cats left behind by previous residence ... in conjunction with The Humane Society and Pet Rescue Agencies ... many of Frontier are coming together to create a most wonderfully safe and unique living environment ... luke none other. Organic gardening landscaping ... outdoor layer back hanging out with neighbors ... Just a caring cooperation banning together ... and you should see how clean it is of no hurricane damaging debris ... it's l8fe and 'morning coffee' back and restored as usual. The property management and residents truly know what they are doing.
