Introduction / Overview
For New Yorkers seeking an authentic, family-oriented outdoor experience in the state’s beautiful southern tier, Gardner Hill Campground in Lowman, NY, offers a compelling base camp. Situated in the picturesque Finger Lakes Region, this private campground caters to a mix of tent campers, RV enthusiasts, and those looking for a seasonal retreat. While it maintains a reputation for a relaxed, no-frills atmosphere and incredible views, it serves as a gateway to the adventure and history of the surrounding area.
Gardner Hill Campground is known for its welcoming owners and friendly atmosphere, where patrons are often greeted with genuine hospitality. Visitors frequently describe the owners as "very inviting and very friendly," contributing to the overall sense of a nice, beautiful place to stay. Operating on a large property, the campground accommodates approximately 75 RV sites and 25 tent sites, indicating a capacity to host a good number of guests while providing essential services for an enjoyable stay. However, potential visitors should be aware that the park's condition, particularly concerning site surfaces which may be primarily grass and dirt, is a point of concern raised by some guests, specifically those with larger RVs or trailers.
Notably, this campground has been cited as being open year-round, which is a significant factor for New Yorkers who enjoy extending their camping season beyond the typical summer months. This makes it a potential option for winter enthusiasts, though the practicalities of accessing non-gravel sites in snowy or wet conditions are considerations for all-weather RV or trailer campers.

Jul 19, 2020 · ESTGUY24worst place to camp because there is no gravel underneath your trailer or around your area so you can enjoy your stay you will be worried about getting dirt inside your camper I would not consider this as a park. Worst place to park a camper or RV the place does not have gravel to park a trailer you are parking on grass / dirt to me it looks like they don't have the time or money that you pay them to park your rig/ trail to have a nice gravel park I heard that they are going stay open this winter but do not know how campers could come here with out get stuck in the winter or any condition of rain this picture you will see what I am talking about
Oct 30, 2021 · Camp SupplyCAST OF CCC'S Theatre groups "PERCY JACKSON, & THE LIGHTENING BOLT THIEF" Reunion, get together with fabulous friends, family and a little side game of pool or 2, in the rec center here.
Aug 16, 2023 · Brenda LutzMay not be 5 star, but very nice place and owners. I would suggest not going up Jerusalem Hill way, very steep and curvy, especially with a camper.
Jul 28, 2022 · Diana AndersonWe booked a site at Gardner Hill campground for a 4 night stay over the July 4th weekend. Although the owner was incredibly nice and helpful, most of the amenities advertised were not available. The potential for an amazing campground is there, but the pool is non-functional, there is no fishing pond to be found, the rec center has no usability at all. There are also very derelect "seasonal" campers on site, that I believe people luce in year round. We ended up leaving a day early. They really need to let people know that the only amenities they are getting is a spot with full hookup, not everything else they advertise in their FB page and website.
