In the heart of Logan County, near the popular Indian Lake, you'll find Geiger Mobile Home Park in Lakeview, Ohio. This community offers a unique living environment that has drawn residents looking for a quieter pace of life.
This article is specifically designed for you, a local Ohio user, to provide a clear, engaging, and factual overview of Geiger Mobile Home Park. We'll delve into its location, what it offers its residents, and highlight aspects that contribute to its community feel. Reviews describe it as a "nice quiet park" with "good people" and a "friendly" atmosphere, suggesting a welcoming place to call home. While some reviews mention challenges, particularly concerning recent management changes and specific maintenance issues, the core appeal of the park often centers on its peaceful nature and its residents.
Living in a mobile home park often means enjoying a tighter-knit community, with shared spaces and a more neighborly feel than traditional subdivisions. For Ohioans looking to plant roots in a more affordable yet established setting, especially near recreational areas like Indian Lake, understanding the nuances of a community like Geiger Mobile Home Park is key. Our aim is to give you a balanced perspective to help you determine if this community aligns with your housing and lifestyle aspirations in the Lakeview area.
Geiger Mobile Home Park is situated at 234 E Harrison St, Lakeview, OH 43331, USA. Lakeview is a charming village located in Logan County, Ohio, on the northern shore of the expansive Indian Lake. This puts the mobile home park in a prime location for those who appreciate lakeside living and outdoor recreation.
The most significant aspect of its location is its proximity to Indian Lake. Indian Lake is one of Ohio's largest inland lakes, offering a wide array of recreational activities including boating (unlimited horsepower), fishing, swimming, and various water sports. For residents of Geiger Mobile Home Park, being so close to this popular state park means easy access to these amenities, contributing to a relaxed, vacation-like lifestyle year-round. The area around Indian Lake is a vibrant hub, particularly during warmer months, with restaurants, marinas, and other local businesses catering to residents and visitors alike.
Accessibility to Lakeview itself is generally good via Ohio's state routes. While not directly on a major interstate, Lakeview is connected by well-maintained roads that provide access to larger population centers in Ohio. For example, cities like Bellefontaine (the Logan County seat) are a short drive away, offering more extensive shopping, dining, and healthcare facilities. Dayton and Columbus are also within reasonable driving distance, making it feasible for residents to access metropolitan services when needed while enjoying a quieter home base.
The local area experienced significant tornado damage in March 2024, particularly affecting parts of Lakeview, including areas near Geiger Mobile Home Park. This highlights the importance of community resilience and ongoing recovery efforts in the area. However, the fundamental appeal of the location—its connection to Indian Lake and its quiet small-town feel—remains a strong draw for prospective residents.
While a comprehensive list of all services offered by Geiger Mobile Home Park would typically be available directly from the park management, common services found in established mobile home communities, combined with insights from reviews, allow us to outline what residents can generally expect.
Lot Rentals: The primary service provided is the rental of individual lots for manufactured homes. Residents typically own their mobile homes but rent the land they sit on. This includes access to essential utilities that are either provided directly by the park or are made accessible for residents to set up their own accounts (e.g., water, sewer, and potentially gas/electric connections, though specific arrangements vary by park).
Community Management: A key service for any mobile home park is on-site or accessible management. This management team is typically responsible for overseeing park rules, addressing resident concerns, maintaining common areas, and handling administrative tasks related to lot rentals. Reviews, while mixed on recent management changes, do indicate a management presence.
Maintenance of Common Areas: Part of the lot rental fee generally covers the maintenance of shared spaces within the park, such as roads, lighting, and any communal landscaping. Reviews mention a desire for better pond maintenance, indicating that pond upkeep is an expected service.
Community Atmosphere: While not a tangible "service," the park's "nice quiet park" and "friendly" people create a sense of community. This is fostered by the collective residents and, ideally, supported by park management through consistent policies and fostering a positive environment.
It is crucial for prospective residents to directly contact Geiger Mobile Home Park for the most accurate and up-to-date information on included services, utility arrangements, and any specific policies regarding home sales or transfers within the park, as mentioned in one of the reviews. Understanding these details upfront is essential for a smooth residency.
Geiger Mobile Home Park offers several features and highlights that appeal to its residents, particularly those seeking a peaceful living environment near a popular Ohio lake.
Quiet Park Atmosphere: A consistent highlight from reviews is the park's "nice quiet park" atmosphere. For many residents, escaping the noise and bustle of urban life is a top priority, and Geiger Mobile Home Park seems to deliver on this promise, providing a serene residential setting.
Friendly Community: The presence of "good people" who are "friendly" is a significant feature. A welcoming and neighborly community contributes greatly to residents' quality of life, fostering a sense of belonging and mutual respect. This social aspect can be a major draw for those seeking a connected living experience.
Proximity to Indian Lake: While not directly on the lake, the park's location in Lakeview means it is very close to Indian Lake. This provides residents with easy access to all the recreational opportunities the lake offers, including boating, fishing, swimming, and various water sports. This is a substantial benefit for outdoor enthusiasts and those who enjoy a lakeside lifestyle.
Affordable Living Potential: Mobile home parks often represent a more affordable housing option compared to traditional stick-built homes, particularly in desirable areas. While one review highlights a contentious home sale, the underlying concept of mobile home park living typically offers a more budget-friendly entry into homeownership, combined with lower property taxes (as only the home is owned, not the land).
While one review specifically mentions issues with a "green pond" that has been a long-standing concern, this suggests potential for improvement in common area aesthetics. However, the core highlights of quietude, friendly residents, and excellent proximity to Indian Lake remain key features that draw individuals to Geiger Mobile Home Park.
Information regarding specific promotions or special offers at Geiger Mobile Home Park is not publicly detailed in the provided information. Unlike retail businesses or short-term rental properties, mobile home parks typically focus on long-term lot rentals, and as such, their "offers" are usually structured around stability, community, and potentially move-in incentives rather than seasonal discounts.
Typical "promotions" or value propositions for mobile home parks often include:
Competitive Lot Rent: The primary "offer" is often a competitive monthly lot rent that includes essential services like water, sewer, and trash, which can be a significant saving compared to property taxes, insurance, and maintenance costs associated with traditional homeownership.
Move-In Incentives: Occasionally, a park might offer incentives for new residents, such as a reduced rate for the first few months, or assistance with relocation costs, especially for new manufactured homes.
Home Sales Support: While not a direct "promotion," some parks have relationships with manufactured home dealers or internal sales teams that can help prospective residents find and purchase homes to place on available lots within the park. The review mentioning a park owner also acting as a realtor highlights that the park may facilitate home sales, though the review also details a negative experience in this regard, emphasizing the importance of independent counsel.
Given the sensitivity of the issues raised in one of the reviews regarding a home sale and previous ownership, it is especially critical for any prospective resident to exercise due diligence. This includes directly contacting the current park management to inquire about all terms and conditions, lot rental agreements, and any processes related to purchasing or selling a home within the park. Asking directly about current rates and any incentives is the best approach.
For the most accurate and current information on any potential offers or the specifics of the rental agreements, prospective residents should use the contact information provided below to speak directly with Geiger Mobile Home Park management.
To inquire about residency, lot availability, current rates, or any specific details regarding Geiger Mobile Home Park, direct contact with the park management is the most effective approach.

This access to outdoor leisure contributes significantly to quality of life for those who love the water and nature.
Secondly, the park's described atmosphere as a "nice quiet park" with "good people" fosters a sense of community that many individuals and families seek. In an increasingly fast-paced world, finding a neighborhood where residents are friendly and the environment promotes tranquility can be invaluable. This community aspect means neighbors might look out for one another, creating a supportive and welcoming place to live.
While a past review mentions concerns about specific park features (like the pond) and a challenging experience with a home sale, it also emphasizes the "potential to be one of the best at Indian Lake." This suggests that with attentive management and ongoing improvements, the park could truly shine. For locals who are prepared to engage with park management proactively and conduct thorough due diligence, the foundational elements for a comfortable and enjoyable living experience are present.
Ultimately, Geiger Mobile Home Park is suitable for Ohio locals who are seeking an affordable entry into homeownership, desire a quiet and friendly community, and wish to live in close proximity to the vibrant recreational opportunities of Indian Lake. It offers a unique lifestyle choice that, for many, balances cost-effectiveness with access to the natural beauty and community spirit of rural Ohio.

My Sister owned a mobile home in this Park which she paid $7000 dollars for. She then put in at least $10,000 to update it. 2 years ago she died & her son became executor of her estate. During this time he was told the park had been sold to new owners. Apparently the new owner who ran the office was also the realtor trying to sell my sister's home. ( which He was told ) My Nephew ( her son ) was overcome with grief in the loss of his mother was in a vulnerable state! This person took advantage of my nephew. Had the mobile home appraised in which she stated it need work.. but it didn't. All my sister's furniture was still in the mobile home, which was all new including the stove, refrigerator, washer & dryer, rugs, flooring, windows, water heater, plumbing..shall i go on... He wanted $15,000 for this. This person ( owner of the park) took advantage of my nephew ( which he lives out of state ) saying this mobile home was only worth $5000. So apparently the new owner got this for a steal including everything inside . To him I hope he is enjoying all my sister's possessions she worked so hard for! How does it feel to steal from a dead person? Is Rabbit your neighbor or is she living in the mobile home my sister cherished so much? Please tell her I said Hello
