With a half-mile of beautiful frontage on Androscoggin Lake, the park leverages its incredible natural setting while layering on extensive, kid-friendly attractions that "far surpass any other campground" visitors have experienced.
The core philosophy of this Jellystone Park™ is non-stop family fun and convenience. While newer to the Jellystone network, the resort’s potential is clear, and the current offerings—including a Water Zone, mini-golf, and a café—already provide an exceptional value proposition for a family vacation right here in Central Maine. It’s a place designed specifically for making the kind of lasting family memories that define the Maine camping tradition.
Location and Accessibility
Jellystone Park™ Androscoggin Lake is perfectly positioned at 1 Wilson Pond Rd, North Monmouth, ME 04265. This location offers a highly accessible yet wonderfully secluded New England setting. North Monmouth places the campground squarely in Western/Central Maine, an ideal spot for locals looking for a quick and easy-to-reach getaway. The resort is conveniently situated near major state routes, making it easy to access from all corners of Maine.
The geographic setting is a major draw. The park is nestled on 150 scenic acres, featuring wooded sites, a tranquil brook, and, most notably, a half-mile of frontage on Androscoggin Lake. This natural environment provides the rustic backdrop that Maine campers cherish, offering opportunities for fishing (especially bass fishing), kayaking, canoeing, and swimming right from the large, sandy beach. While being surrounded by nature, the park is close enough to urban centers to be practical. It is near Augusta, the state capital, and relatively close to the greater Portland area, making it a feasible weekend trip or extended vacation spot without requiring a long-distance journey.

It offers the best of both worlds: the convenience of a nearby stay with the feeling of having truly escaped into the Maine wilderness for a memorable family adventure.

We had a great time camping here. The amount of kid friendly activities far surpasses any other campground we have visited. We loved that there were rotating activities starting all throughout the day so there is always fun stuff to do even if you’re working around naps/meals/bedtime. The food stand is reasonably priced and was so convenient for our quick trip to not have to pack and cook so much. We will definitely add this to our “frequently visited” list.
Sep 05, 2025 · Heather MoodyWe absolutely love this campground. We visit numerous times throughout the season and find it difficult to leave! The pavilion hosts daily activities, some of which are complimentary while others are additional charge. The resort features a swimming pool, a lake, mining, mini golf, a camp store, and a café. The recreation staff in the pavilion are incredibly enjoyable and genuinely passionate about their roles and the children. Aili and Chloe perform their duties exceptionally well. Alice, the Assistant General Manager, is consistently present for activities and bear appearances; she is sociable, adores children, and excels in her responsibilities, demonstrating remarkable dedication. Marina always greets my children warmly, whether she is working in the store, café, or pavilion, or simply passing by; her friendliness is outstanding. As a relatively new Jellystone campground resort, it would be beneficial for this Jellystone park to implement updates, particularly now that we are required to pay a new daily resort fee and the guaranteed campsite fee has increased, which ideally should be eliminated. When reserving a campsite, the selected site should be guaranteed for the camper without additional charges. Updates that could enhance the experience and potentially attract more campers include expanding the playground offerings. Incorporating swings, balance beams, spring riders, tire swings, or even stationary structures for climbing and play would be excellent. Additionally, ensuring that the mini golf course operates effectively would significantly enhance the enjoyment! This Jellystone resort has great potential; with updates and increased attention from corporate, it could turn into an exceptional campground like your other resorts with improvements.
Sep 14, 2025 · katieIf you're looking for "glamping" or a nice rustic getaway, this Jellystone is perfect! It's the best of both worlds. Quiet when it should be, and exciting and energetic at the pool and playground! So much for kids to do, with the nicest staff around. Alice in particular can be found from the camp store, to the playground, to the pool and probably with a bear or two! She is someone that is consistently working hard to make sure the guests experience the best park possible, and it's amazing how fast she learns and remembers the kids names. A great way to make them feel special! Because we have children with us, we got to know Aili at the playground really well too. She was so fun and engaging - making sure the kids are living their best lives! I can't recommend this place enough. We have converted quite a few families to change their summer destinations and they all say the same - this place is amazing and the staff really makes a difference!
Aug 21, 2025 · Riannon SyskoWendy is simply the best. She’s all about making sure that our family has the best experience possible. She knows all five of us by name. She makes it a point to always say hi to us. She makes us feel very important and valued. Honestly, she’s one of the biggest reasons why we come to camp here. My kids all say she’s the best too and that’s important to me. We love Wendy!
Aug 17, 2025 · Kenny HamiltonGreat family campground! Staff are nice and helpful but I have to say Alice is amazing! Went above and beyond and addressed my minor issue right away! She's great with everyone and as well as the snack back staff! We will definitely come back here for summer and especially the Halloween special! They go above and beyond with the decorations and Halloween activities for the kids.
