Has the potential to be a great campground, but it seems there are too many irons in the fire. The splash pad is great, but not enough umbrellas and chairs. The pool is great, but not enough umbrellas and chairs. When I say not enough - the pool had 4 umbrellas and the splash pad had only one. Mini golf only had about 5 small clubs and not enough golf balls to support campers that wanted to play. We tried to hurry along so others waiting could play. The rec center reminds you of a 70s boy scout camp with framed walls and no sheetrock or sheeting to hide the storage areas. THE STAFF WERE GREAT! I really don't enjoy leaving less than stellar reviews, but we went back and forth for weeks reading recent reviews. We decided to give it a shot and likely won't return. It's also similar to any other Jellystone...if you're not in the cramped area of the pool it's a super long walk, bike ride, or golf cart ride. The ice cream was also a ripoff. 1 scoop (and I literally mean it was one scoop of ice cream a little larger than a golf ball) was $3.50. The money we paid to camp here is in no way equivalent to the amenities and service provided. The kids had a blast, but as the parents, we could've gone to other campgrounds and spent less with the same amount of fun.
Jun 07, 2025 · Grant RussellWe had the absolute best time! The cabin was amazing, spacious, and clean! We had to delay and do a very late check in and the staff were very accommodating. The cabin had everything we needed including amazing wifi, air conditioning and phenomenal water pressure/heat/supply. The entire campground was beautiful and every staff member was friendly and talkative. There is so much to do even for young kids, from playgrounds, swings, jumping pillows, and rec activities to the beach and fishing pond. I can’t wait to come back and enjoy this place for years to come!
May 19, 2025 · Alexandra HallWe had a bad previous trip but my kids wanted to try the park again. This trip was slightly better but I feel a lot needs done. The grass at our site was high, poison ivy was everywhere. Quiet time is not observed as we had terrible neighbors. It was after 1am before they decided to lower their tone and turn their music off. Every time we asked a staff member questions we was told that they did not know. My kids were so excited for the hayride, we went to where we was told to go and the tractor drove completely by us without picking us up. My kids were very disappointed. My youngest wanted a picture with Yogi because other kids were getting pictures, she was told that she would have to wait until later. Well needless to say she never got her picture. I thought under new management this place would have been better but it seems nothing has changed.
Jun 08, 2025 · Jessica DeelI usually do not give bad reviews, but I feel like this needs one. This is our second year of camping at Jellystone Park in natural Bridge, Virginia so last year it was really nice all kind of activities for the little ones to do throughout the day and evening they also had the beach area The pool waterslides, but the splash park for the toddlers were closed last year well again this year it was closed, but not only that the waterslides were closed and the pool was closed so we’re stuck in a cabin with a 13-year-old a nine-year-old and a two year-old and they have nothing to do. We should’ve been informed before checking in that there were no water amenities this year and should’ve been refunded accordingly, but instead all we get in return was well. There’s a beach area they can swim in. Yes there was that is not the point that water was very cold and muddy murky looking Not something I would let my kid grandchildren get in and swim. Our cabin was dirty. Upon arrival there was all kinds of items broken in the cabin . I had to clean our cabin before we could actually enjoy it. The fireplace was broken. I have a video too, but two years in a row of selling out a lot of money for a cabin in the woods. Needless to say we will find a New park to go to. Oh, and the Bears almost forgot the kids love Yogi Bear boo-boo, but this year Yogi and boo-boo were not active. They didn’t greet and the children like they did last year and there was no appearance by Cindy Bayer, which happened to me my toddler granddaughter‘s favorite we ask about a refund two hours after checking in and we’re told that we would be charged for the night which was about 300 and some dollars and we could get a refund on the rest but we would have to bite that night It’s under new management and they were not prepared for the opening day for the season. We were very disappointing along with a lot of other campers as well. UPDATE owners reply but no mentioning of making it right! We are locals ! Day passes for the kids would have been great ! From office to owner no resolutions were offered!!!
May 28, 2025 · Leslie IngramOMG worst experience of our 10 years of traveling in a RV. We booked a pullthru for one night - I specifically asked was there anything about the entrance off Recreation Lane that I needed to know cause sometimes the GPS is wrong - nope. I told them we would be arriving after 12 midnight was that ok - yup there's an after hours phone number and our site info will be on the office door. Bullshit. The place is dark - poorly lite. We arrived at 1AM and tried to find our spot on the map - impossible since it didn't exist - U006. No signage as to where the spot numbers are plus they had a road blocked off - oops for us and we had to disconnect and try to turn around in the dark both a jeep and 35 foot motorhome. No room to drive or turn and little street signs are impossible to read. I tried the emergency number- ext. 111 three times and left a message- no response. We are now pissed off and it's 2AM. My hubby jumped in the jeep and drove around what we thought was the resort since the sign off Recreation Lane said it was Jellystone - up and down the road trying to find the pull thru spots - guess what they're ACROSS THE ROAD - on the opposite side of the office and the welcome sign - no sign on that side. We had to get the RV across the street with barely any lighting or signs. You cannot see the space numbers in the dark - lights on the pole would be great. I had to keep getting out of the jeep to read the numbers and tell my hubby which spot I thought was ours. We figured they must have meant spot 106 instead of 006 and who knew what U was 🤷♀️. Didn't matter that's where we were gonna park. We're really pissed cause we wanted to leave at 8am and we now have to reconnect the jeep. I have attached photos of the spot number, the reservation tag, a map and a picture of the road and spots with no lights - see if you can find our spot and Recreation Lane on their map. Usually they highlight a route for you to drive to find your spot after hours or have a host to guide you - nope. A refund would be great but doubtful plus they charge you a resort fee for closed attractions, no host and limited WiFi. Beware if you are going after hours - you are on your own. Good luck.
