Introduction / Overview
As a New York resident, you understand the value of a quick escape from the city hustle or even the suburban grind. Kellystone Park Campground, nestled on 170 scenic acres in Nineveh, New York, offers exactly that: a traditional, family-oriented outdoor retreat in the peaceful setting of Upstate NY. Operating since 1971, this campground has established itself as a cherished destination where families return year after year, building summer traditions that span generations. Kellystone Park is known for its expansive grounds, its friendly, family-run management, and an impressive array of amenities and activities that cater to every age group. It successfully combines the rustic appeal of camping with the recreational facilities of a park.
The campground offers a diverse range of over 100 campsites, accommodating everything from large motorhomes requiring full hookups to those preferring a more traditional tent experience in a secluded wooded area. While it provides an abundance of activities, including a unique 9-hole golf course, it maintains a relaxing atmosphere, often noted for its quiet evenings and dark skies perfect for stargazing. Kellystone Park truly embodies a 'home away from home' feel, prioritizing comfort and entertainment for all who visit its grounds.

Location and Accessibility
Kellystone Park Campground is conveniently located at 51 Hawkins Rd, Nineveh, NY 13813, USA. Nineveh is a quiet hamlet situated in Broome County, making the campground an ideal and accessible destination for New Yorkers, particularly those in the Southern Tier, Central New York, and the Capital Region. Its location near the major thoroughfare of I-88 provides straightforward travel access for weekend trips. The campground is also well-positioned as one of the better RV camping options near the Binghamton area, offering a tranquil base from which to explore the region.
Being positioned in the heart of Upstate NY's natural beauty, the park provides access to numerous natural and cultural attractions. Nearby state parks, such as Oquaga Creek State Park and Chenango Valley State Park, are just a short drive away, offering additional opportunities for hiking, swimming, and fishing. While the campground is set in a peaceful, rural mountain area, providing a true escape from urban noise, a drive will be required for major grocery shopping and dining options outside of the park. However, this distance contributes to the secluded, laid-back atmosphere that many New York campers seek when heading north. Be advised that while the area is naturally quiet and peaceful, cell connection can be spotty in certain areas, and local over-the-air TV is limited, which for many, is a welcome feature of disconnecting in the great outdoors.

A friendly well run campsite with lots to do especially for families. A nice golf course to play, pool, pickle ball, tennis, fishing, hiking etc; But best of all it is run by a family who who cares about your comfort and needs.
Aug 31, 2025 · Chuck GardnerA very large campground with lots of things to do! Let's start with a few of the drawbacks. Electric hookups don't have a circuit breaker nearby. The posts where the power are have rot and decay. Power connections are close to the ground so if you are using a surge protector, it will be very close to the ground for the connection. Ther is no WiFi and cell connections is spotty. There is no cable and over the air TV is very limited. Lots of rerouted traffic due to construction on 41. They do NOT sell wood so if you are going, pickup some along the way. Sites in the open face each other and the fire rings are close. Now for the positives. There is a golf course, petting zoo, pool, tennis courts, pond for fishing and a basketball court. There are horse shoe pits. Lots of open areas for kids to play. There is a wooden train for the kids to play on as well as a wooden ship. We had a site in the open and it was grassy and fairly level. The campground is over several acres so lots of places to walk and get exercise. Overall a good experience and would recommend for families and for the golfers out there.
Jul 12, 2020 · Kenneth Parkhurst JrI have been enjoying Kellystone park for over 20 years. It is a well run family business that keeps families entertained throughout the major holiday weekends and the off weekends. Those are great to just kick back, relax, enjoy the scenery, quietness and wildlife this park offers. There is something to do here for all ages at all times. The only downside is how far it is from SLC, UT. Go enjoy it.
Jul 05, 2018 · Phil GregoryThis campground is nice. We enjoyed the playground, pool and barnyard. We heard from seasonal campers that there was a band playing, it would have been nice to be told about it at check in. There weren’t any activities throughout the day like most other campgrounds. We were highly disappointed in our site. It was facing another camper and was close which made it challenging with kids and dogs. Luckily the other couple was friendly and our kids got along. This full hookup would be perfect for 2 people who knew each other, but not good for strangers and we should have been told this when booking the site. Do not book C25/26 unless you are camping with someone.
