LA-RV About

For Louisianans navigating the bustling highways or seeking a peaceful retreat, finding the right RV park can make all the difference. LA-RV in Livonia, LA, stands out as a true gem, especially for those unexpected moments on the road. This RV park has earned a reputation for its exceptional hospitality, quiet environment, and straightforward, value-driven amenities, making it a reliable choice for any RVer in the Pelican State.

Imagine you're on a long journey, and suddenly, your vehicle throws a curveball. For one couple, LA-RV became a lifesaver when their truck went into "limp mode" on I-10. Despite a challenging journey on a two-lane road, they were met with understanding and a warm welcome from Casey, the park manager, who had room for them to stay for a week. This testament to LA-RV's accommodating nature and genuine care for travelers speaks volumes about the experience you can expect.

Beyond emergency stops, LA-RV offers a consistently peaceful setting where the gentle sound of a distant train horn is the only notable interruption to the calm. It's the kind of place where you can settle in, get your laundry done affordably, and enjoy the simple comforts of RV living without paying for extras you won't use. Whether you're passing through, working in the area, or simply need a quiet base, LA-RV is designed to be your stress-free haven in Louisiana.

Location and Accessibility

LA-RV is conveniently located at 7962 LA-81, Livonia, LA 70755, USA. This address places it in Livonia, a small community in Pointe Coupee Parish, Louisiana. While Livonia itself is a quieter, rural area, its proximity to major transportation arteries is a significant advantage for RV travelers.

The park's location off LA-81 offers direct access, and importantly, it's situated relatively close to I-10, a major east-west interstate highway that traverses southern Louisiana. For Louisianans and cross-country travelers alike, this means that despite its seemingly secluded feel, LA-RV is a practical stop. One reviewer highlighted being just "16 miles down the road" from an I-10 off-ramp, making it an accessible detour even in challenging circumstances.

While Livonia might not be a bustling city, its location provides a peaceful retreat from highway noise, as noted by the quiet atmosphere. Essential services like gas, a local store, or dining might require a short drive into Livonia or a slightly longer trip to nearby towns like New Roads or Baton Rouge. This balance of rural tranquility and reasonable access to necessities makes LA-RV a viable option for those seeking a quiet escape without being completely isolated.

Let me tell you what....we were towing our 40' 5th wheel down? the I-10. Up the I-10? We were on the I-10 headed to Texas from Florida. When all of a sudden our truck went into limp mode. Janis Joplin threw a code. We were 1 mile from an offramp. I'm sure there were plenty of folks yelling, or cursing at us. We could only go 35 mph. We get off the highway and there isn't anything to be seen. I get into my Google maps and find this here RV park is only 16 miles down the road. 16 miles down a 2 lane road. Again, poor folks behind us. We felt bad but there isn't anywhere to pull over. Oh, I skipped ahead. My husband called this RV park to see if they had any openings. I had my fingers crossed and I was holding my breath. Dear sweet Casey let us know he sure did have room and to come on down. So we paid him for a week. It is a quiet park. You can hear a train horn here or there but it isn't anything that would keep you awake. I don't know when we'd be back this way but we most certainly would stay here. I didn't see a bathhouse but the laundry was $2 to wash and $2 to dry.

Basic amenities, a little noise from the train, but not too loud for us. There is a building with washers and dryers. If you're looking for a place with all you need and don't want to pay for things you're not gonna use anyway, this is the place to stay!!

It's in a quiet place, it's got enough lots for about 10-15 RV campers. The owner is a sweet elderly man and he's helpful and kind. It's close to a rail road but away from the Hussle and bustle of the 190HWY, I know a lady and her husband that live in an RV there for the moment. There is a grocery store and a family dollar store close by as well as a few hotels and gas stations. A small town but everything you need to live or camp for a bit.

We really enjoyed our stay here! It's a gravel lot with a small laundry room. There is a train yard nearby, so it isn't always quiet, but the neighbors were kind and quiet. We werein Louisiana visiting friends in Baton Rouge. The commute was usually 40-50 minutes.

Had to stay here awhile back when working at Exxon, Baton Rouge due to everyone else being full. I was worried that the drive would be too long but it was actually pretty easy utilizing 190. The owner was extremely nice and worked with me when it was time to leave. There is no onsite office but not an issue for me. I have my own washer/dryer so no need to use the one provided. The area was safe and very peaceful with an occasional train horn. If you need a place to stay id highly recommended this place. It seems that it is best if you have a few folks that you know at the same campground. I also really liked the feature of being able to access the security cameras from the website. Id stay here again.
