Beautiful view. Clean. Was hard to find the south entrance though.
May 18, 2025 · michelle ThompsonLake McBride is a great campground with lots of things to do for the family. Campsites are great even for big campers. There are lots of trails, fishing, cliffs, spillway and woods. Beach with swimming is near by. The park is clean and if you want to run to town for some shopping or dinner Solon is a great place to go. What the heck is this thing? I was out walking at night and saw this on the edge of the water. Looked like a dead animal or crawfish but it’s a plant of some kind with lots of little roots on the bottom. It’s a tube (unlike some flowers that are bulbs). Great place to explore!
Apr 20, 2021 · Peter ShawI think it's a beautiful park. The spaces are ok but some are hard to navigate and the turn around is very tight. The road and lake traffic is really intrusive though. So loud. Don't expect to just enjoy nature or peace and quiet.
Aug 15, 2021 · Sarah DavidsonNice little primitive Campground. But it's on the side of a hill and it's hard to find a level spot to set up camp. It has a lot of big old trees that have a lot of dead limbs. That fall when the wind blows.
