We were the only campers, but it was April. The restrooms were not open for the season yet. Well maintained, clean, quiet. 20 bucks a nights with AC power hookups.
Apr 12, 2025 · Nick BurggraffLitke Park is a nice and clean small-town campground. There is a fee and a pay station at the campground entrance. I did not see any other campers making payments, even big RV rigs with electrical connections, so maybe there is a permitting system set-up for locals that like to use the park. The cleaning crew came when I was there, and they kept the simple toilet/shower building clean. The water is definitely well-water because the hot water has a sulfur smell, but it is warm and plentiful. You can walk over to the Grist Mill along the Upper Iowa River to take some pictures of this appealing location. Most of the campgrounds are level and under tall hardwood trees. It was nice seeing and hearing children playing on the simple playground equipment there.
Oct 24, 2022 · Brad DAwesome park by an old mill and dam. Great camper spots, even has a couple concrete spots. The river provides a cool place to kayak, paddleboard, or just float down, from somewhere upstream. Great boat dock for putting a boat in, fishing off of, or just standing on and watching the water go by.
