On-Site RV & Cabin Rentals: For those without their own RV or who prefer a solid structure, the park offers both RV rentals and cute log cabins. These cabins feature a full refrigerator, stove, couch, table, chairs, a separate bedroom, and a restroom with a shower, providing a comfortable alternative for longer stays (minimum 7 days).
Dump Station: A convenient dump station is available for guests who are self-contained or for use upon departure.

Long-Term Stay Friendly & Community: A significant highlight is its suitability for "long term" stays, with many full-time RVers choosing it as their base. This fosters a relaxed and generally friendly community among residents, creating a stable and welcoming environment. Guests often report feeling "safe here."
Integrated Mini Storage: The availability of "storage on site" is a major convenience, particularly for long-term residents or those who need extra space beyond their RV. This unique combination of RV parking and storage solutions is highly valued.
Relaxed Atmosphere & Management: Many guests appreciate the "relaxed atmosphere" and the understanding management, especially for common RV park scenarios (like a dog learning to open the door!). This indicates a flexible and accommodating approach by staff.
Clean and Level Sites with Full Hookups: The RV sites are consistently described as "clean and level" with "full hook ups," providing a solid foundation for any RV setup. This practical feature is crucial for a comfortable stay.
Proximity to Canton Attractions & Jackson: The park is "minutes to historic downtown Canton," offering easy access to its unique movie-related museums, historic square, and local culture. Its location just "miles north of the capital, Jackson," provides quick access to a major city's amenities, shopping, and entertainment, including the Natchez Trace Parkway and the Nissan plant.
Pet-Friendly Environment: The park welcomes pets, and ample "grassy area" is available for walking dogs, which is a significant plus for RVers traveling with their furry companions.
On-Site Cabins and RV Rentals: The availability of "cute cabins to rent" (with amenities like full refrigerators, stoves, and separate bedrooms) and on-site RV rentals offers flexible lodging solutions for those without an RV or who prefer a different experience, catering to a wider audience.
Accessibility to I-55: Being within a mile of I-55 ensures easy and efficient travel for transient guests and provides convenient connectivity for longer-term residents.
While some public restrooms may require maintenance attention, the overall positive feedback on the atmosphere, cleanliness of sites, and the unique combination of RV parking and storage solidifies Movietown RV Park's position as a notable option in the Canton area.
Movietown RV Park and Mini Storage offers a straightforward pricing structure that caters primarily to longer-term stays and provides value through its comprehensive amenities. While specific short-term "promotions" like nightly discounts aren't widely advertised, the park focuses on competitive rates for extended periods:
Monthly Rates for RV Sites: The park is well-known for accommodating "long term guests" and offers attractive monthly rates for RV sites. For instance, an older record indicates a monthly rate of $350 plus electricity for a 30-amp site, and $375 plus electricity for a 50-amp site. These rates are significantly more economical than daily or weekly options for extended stays, making it a budget-friendly choice for full-time RVers or those on assignment in the area.
Weekly Rates: Weekly rates are also typically available, providing savings over nightly stays for those planning a stay longer than a few days but less than a month.
Cabin Rentals (Minimum Stay): The "cute cabins" are available for rent, often with a minimum stay requirement (e.g., 7 days). While specific pricing isn't always public, renting a cabin offers a distinct value for those seeking a more permanent structure without owning an RV.
Mini Storage Unit Pricing: The integrated mini storage units are available for rent, with varying sizes and prices. For example, 13x50-foot outdoor parking spaces might start at $35 per month, and covered spaces at $50 a month, as noted in some related search results. A $20 security deposit might be required for storage. This combined offering provides convenience and potential cost savings for those needing both RV parking and storage solutions.
Good Sam Discount (Historical): Older information suggests the park was Good Sam Club friendly, offering a discount (e.g., $25/night vs. $26 regular rate). While not explicitly confirmed in recent reviews, it's worth inquiring if such affiliations or discounts are still active.

It caters to a specific local need for stable, affordable, and convenient RV accommodations.
One of the strongest reasons for its suitability is its emphasis on long-term stays and its established community of residents. Many locals and those relocating for work appreciate finding a park where they can settle in for months or even a year, as highlighted by satisfied guests. This creates a more stable and "safe" environment, fostering friendly interactions among "other long term guests." For Mississippi locals seeking a practical, community-oriented, and value-driven RV park for extended stays, Movietown RV Park and Mini Storage presents a compelling and reliable option.
Customer Reviews
We stayed here for about a year. The only thing we didn't like were the random water shut offs. We like the relaxed atmosphere, management, and cleanliness. We appreciate the storage on site and the understanding we received despite having to chase down our dog when he learned to open the door. The other long term guests were generally friendly and we felt safe here. This is the best park we have stayed in since we began full time rving and without a doubt we will go back if we ever end up near Jakson again.
Restrooms are relatively clean but sadly in need of repair. Example- peeling paint on the walls, not all showers work and NO HOT Water! No sign to let you know the status of the hot water anywhere. The front desk manager was pleasant until we inquired about the lack of hot water and then she became agitated and told us “to get out….I don’t want your money”. She was aware of the hot water heater not working and apparently hadn’t been for some time. My husband put some cash on the counter and left. We won’t be back. The positive side is that the sites are clean and level and full hook ups. If you’re looking for a safe, secure and well maintained place to stay for the night this isn’t the place for you.
Movietown RV Park is one of the best values ever for full hookups and pull-throughs we have seen. Plenty of room between sites and lots of places to walk your pets. Management is great to work with. It's located close to Jackson and the Natchez Trace Parkway. Canton is the city It's located in and called the movie capital of Mississippi. A large New Nissan plant is about two miles away. Cabins are also available here.
Ideal spot! Very up to date shower and restrooms spotless!! Laundry facilities amazing! Very nice people. Quiet all the time. Friendly fellow rvers, theres longterm camping short time, a playground, nice landscape well cared for, I backed my 30 ft pull behind into 143, had my own front yard and a dirt road to walk down and it was nice to open my front door and sit looking out. (Weve been in the city the past 18 mths) level spots no tables, electric water sewer hook ups, we couldnt get the offered wifi but with a antenna we picked up 26 channels that had clear pictures! Lots of great things about here, we have a Verizon cell phone and it doesnt have good cell reception. Wife has a straight talk with a tennesse number and hers is good all the time.about 2 miles from walmart. Gas and take out places. ,
First impressions do matter. The front office is cluttered and disheveled. It is also very small so even three people in there felt crowded (COVID anyone?) On the plus side, the lady who checked us in was very nice in person as well as on the phone. There is a WII FI hot spot but no internet access. We used the hot spots on our phones which was a little sketchy as Verizon was 4g 1-3 bars depending on where you were standing. Satellite should be okay as there are very few trees. Mostly long term renters but most were neat with a couple of odd exceptions.. All gravel roads and sites although they could use more. Spacing was ok with some grass in between sites. It could be messy if it has rained. We could not use the sewer as we couldn’t reach it even with two hoses. And we had to use all 25 feet of the electric cord. Not sure about other sites. There is some noise from interstate off in the distance. Quite a few early risers for work but not that intrusive. Very reasonably priced.
