Promotions or Special Offers

As a military recreational lodging facility, NAS Jacksonville Campground (Manatee Cove RV Park) inherently offers a significant "special offer" in its pricing structure, which is typically more affordable than comparable civilian RV parks. This is a core benefit for its eligible patrons. While specific, short-term promotional deals might vary or not be widely advertised publicly, the inherent value provided by a DoD-affiliated campground is a continuous "promotion" in itself.

Key aspects that serve as ongoing "offers" include:

  • Affordable Rates: Compared to civilian campgrounds in the Jacksonville area, NAS Jacksonville Campground often provides significantly reduced rates. For example, a past review noted a full hookup site at $34.00 per night, which represents excellent value, especially considering the included amenities and base access.

  • Free Amenities Included: The inclusion of free laundry facilities and free Wi-Fi as standard amenities can be seen as a continuous value add. These services often come with additional costs at civilian parks, contributing to overall savings for guests.

  • Access to Discounted Base Services: Patrons staying at the campground have access to the commissary (military grocery store with tax-free goods), the Navy Exchange (NEX) for retail purchases, and various MWR (Morale, Welfare, and Recreation) programs. These on-base facilities often offer competitive pricing or tax-free benefits, leading to further savings during a stay.

  • Exclusive Eligibility: While not a discount, the exclusivity of access to active duty, retired military, 100% disabled veterans, and authorized DoD civilians ensures a community of like-minded individuals. This can be seen as a unique benefit for those who prefer to stay within a military-friendly environment.

  • Loyalty/Extended Stay Considerations: While specific details are best confirmed with management, military campgrounds sometimes offer slightly reduced weekly or monthly rates, or prioritize extensions for active-duty personnel based on availability, though general stays are limited to 30 days with extensions up to 180 days based on availability and management discretion. Active duty personnel can book up to 1 year in advance, and all others 6 months in advance.

To confirm the most current rates and any specific temporary promotions that might be running, it's always advisable to contact the NAS Jacksonville Campground directly.

We made a same day reservation and they had one spot open. We had a midnight arrival and the camp host was happy to help. I woke up to a dead battery and I texted him and even though he didn't have jumper cables he found a jumper battery from someone (didn't work) and then found cables from someone else. It worked. Our site was near the water so when I woke up I had a lovely moment with some wildlife. I have a camper conversation SUV and they allowed me to park. The bathrooms were clean and had a heater. The person who made the reservation was very helpful and friendly. Thanks for a nice stay.

I cannot say enough good things about this place. We evacuated the west coast of Florida due to the hurricane and finally heading home on our trip. We hit a delay and got lucky enough to reserve a night here. The MWR manager was above and beyond. She made sure we had everything we needed and was very direct/clear on the phone with what we needed to do to get situated. Once we arrived she was clear on directions and helped us get our reservation configured to meet our needs. This was a God send, especially since we have our newborn and was exhausted. The sites were simple enough, but also easy enough. We were met at the entrance of the sites by the camp hosts who gave us the rundown and escorted us to our site. They even helped spot us into the site (we didn't need it, but it looks like they have to do it). After getting level, setting up and plugging in; we were able to relax and access the multiple amenities we needed to get reset.

Good campground. Concrete and level sights. Somewhat exposed in some areas with no tree cover. Pretty quiet so far. One of the best things is that it is $35 for full hookup, at least at the time of those review. The sights are a little skinny. Beware of slidout location prior to deployment of slides. Clean and secure bathrooms. Overall, pretty good place, especially for the price
