Introduction / Overview
As a Massachusetts resident, you know that escaping the hustle of the city or the busy suburbs for a truly tranquil spot can be a challenge. Peaceful Acres Campground in Hubbardston, MA, is exactly what its name promises: a quiet, nature-lover's sanctuary tucked away in the heart of Central Massachusetts. Spanning over 200 acres of lush, wooded land, this seasonal campground offers a refreshing blend of rustic charm and essential amenities, making it a perfect retreat for locals looking to reconnect with nature.
Peaceful Acres is designed to be a place where the sound of a babbling brook replaces the noise of traffic, and the sight of local wildlife is a daily occurrence. It caters to a range of campers, from those pitching a tent to families settling into a cozy cabin for a week. The consistent feedback from long-term and repeat visitors highlights its exceptionally quiet atmosphere and the beauty of being completely surrounded by nature. This is a destination for unwinding, disconnecting (it's noted for having limited or no Wi-Fi/cell service in many areas), and embracing the simple pleasures of the outdoors, all within an easy drive for most of the Bay State. The campground operates seasonally, typically welcoming guests from the middle of May through mid-October, making it a perfect summer and fall getaway.
Location and Accessibility
Peaceful Acres Campground is conveniently located at 52 Flagg Rd in the charming and quiet town of Hubbardston, Massachusetts, situated right in the center of the state. Its Central MA location makes it highly accessible for residents coming from the Greater Boston area, Worcester County, and Western Massachusetts.
The campground is nestled off Route 68, just a short distance from Route 2, a major east-west artery across the state. This makes for a straightforward trip, allowing you to quickly trade the stresses of the road for the serenity of the woods.
Local Driving Directions: From Route 2, you typically take Route 68 South. Upon reaching the center of Hubbardston, a series of turns onto Williamsville Road, then Mount Jefferson Road, and finally Flagg Road will guide you to the property at the road’s end. While the final approach is on a quiet, country road, the overall accessibility from major regional centers like Worcester (a short drive) ensures that you don't spend half your vacation on the highway. This ease of access is a key factor for Massachusetts residents planning a quick weekend trip or an extended summer stay.

Aug 01, 2025 · Prudence CelonaIt’s sad I have this write this review but I stay here last year and was trying to book again this year and it was denied. Me being new to Airbnb I had no idea there was a review left about me. That is very disappointing and confusing I tried to reach out to Carol as I just discovered this review a year later she refused to return my calls. Let me start with our interactions during the stay was good . I had to contact her a few times for simple stuff because I was unsure I think how to use something. Like how to turn hot water etc I also had to call her because I went to heat something up in the microwave and it was sparking and almost caught on fire she came down and looked at it said sorry but you’ll have to do without and she would replace it later which was fine. She dropped wood off as it was unlimited 2 times. Otherwise no issues she had a long talk with my bf which was nice she’s very down to earth. The place we rented was so so on cleaning like cobwebs in the windows or dusty surfaces but it’s camping I just wiped surfaces down. I covered all furniture with sheets or blankets as I hate the thought of others germs. When we left I made sure to vacuum clean dish sink refrigerator stove etc.. I remember my bf saying you don’t have to clean they have people for it but I still did. She wrote in my review (Sherry did not leave our place very clean. Our kitchen stove top was a burned on greasy mess. Our toilet was not only plugged but broken. Sad part is that alot of time & money could have been saved if she had let us know. She never shared this information with us & apparently kept on using both. When we went in to clean, all was discovered.) First off nothing was wrong with the toilet it was fine when we left and as for the stove not sure what she’s talking about as I only used the stove to boil water and cook corn and popcorn and used the grill the rest of the time. I also washed it before leaving. My problem is why didn’t she reach out to me if I really left the place this way where are the pictures? Was I too needy and she didn’t like me and not want us to go back there was no need for this review as it literally is lies. I truly would not leave a place this way! Plus she came down and looked around when we left so not sure 🤔 where this is coming from. I reached out asked her why she never contacted me right away about this no response except I left a review. I explained I didn’t realize there was a review I apologize and asked her if she would give us another chance to make things right and also to stay she read the message no response. No return call neither. I am a very honest person and I wanted to work things out I even told her I would clean and she can come through and inspect the place if we stayed again no response. I’m writing this honest review but her review is lies I have no proof of anything she wrote about me. I offered to make it right now that I know so be mindful take pictures when you leave her place because I am100 percent sure her review is not accurate
