Perryville RV Resort by Rjourney, located in Perryville, MO, aims to provide such a space. This article offers a factual and comprehensive overview of the RV resort, drawing on public information to help Missourians understand its offerings, location, and what to expect from a stay. Whether you're planning a short visit to local attractions or considering a longer-term stay, understanding the park's operational nuances is key.

Introduction / Overview

Perryville RV Resort by Rjourney is an RV park situated in Perryville, Missouri, catering to both transient travelers and potentially longer-term residents. As part of the Rjourney network, it typically operates under a brand standard for RV parks, aiming to provide a certain level of amenities and convenience. The resort is designed to offer a comfortable resting point for RVers, with sites capable of accommodating various vehicle sizes.

Visitor experiences can vary based on the season and individual expectations. Positive feedback often highlights the park's convenient location and family-friendly features, such as a swimming pool. However, it's important for prospective guests to be aware of the operational differences between peak season and off-season, particularly concerning staffing, maintenance response times, and billing practices, as detailed in some customer accounts. A clear understanding of these aspects will help in planning a stay that aligns with your needs.

Location and Accessibility

Perryville RV Resort by Rjourney is located at 300 Lake Dr, Perryville, MO 63775, USA. This address places it strategically in Perryville, a city in Perry County, Missouri, known for its small-town charm and significant historical landmarks.

A key highlight of its location is its proximity to I-55. Being "close to I-55" makes it an incredibly convenient stop for RVers traveling along this major interstate highway, offering easy exit and re-entry for onward journeys. This accessibility minimizes travel time off the main route, which is often a priority for those on longer trips.

Beyond highway access, the resort's location in Perryville provides proximity to local attractions. One reviewer specifically mentioned staying there for its closeness to the "Veterans Memorial and Vietnam Sister Wall," indicating that the park serves as a practical base for exploring significant local sites. While there might be "some highway noise from the Tractor Trailers," reviews suggest it's "not excessive" and generally "doesn't affect relaxing by the fire or sleeping etc." This balance of convenient access and manageable noise levels makes it a viable option for many visitors. The sites themselves are noted to be "quite level," which is a significant advantage for RVers, simplifying the setup process and ensuring a comfortable stay.

Services Offered
  • RV Sites: The resort offers sites designed for RVs, with features like level surfaces, accommodating various sizes of recreational vehicles.

  • Utilities: Sites are equipped with essential hookups, including power (electricity) and water, necessary for RV functionality. However, it's noted that charges for these utilities may apply even if a camper hasn't been on-site for a period, depending on the billing structure.
  • Check-in/Check-out Services: During normal seasonal operation, a host is available for pleasant and accommodating service. Outside of peak season (e.g., after November 1st), onsite staff hours may be significantly limited (e.g., 12-3 PM).
  • Community Spaces: While not explicitly detailed beyond the pool, RV resorts often include common areas for relaxation, though specific "amenities" like game rooms or fitness centers are not mentioned in the provided reviews.

Promotions or Special Offers

Specific promotions or special offers for Perryville RV Resort by Rjourney are not publicly detailed in the provided information. RV parks, particularly those part of a larger network like Rjourney, typically have standardized rates that may vary by season, site type (e.g., pull-through vs. back-in, 30-amp vs. 50-amp), and length of stay (daily, weekly, monthly).

However, it's crucial for prospective long-term residents to be aware of the billing practices mentioned in one review, particularly concerning "new charges every other month that no one agrees to or has notice of" and charges for utilities even when not on-site. Additionally, the non-acceptance of checks and the 3.5% credit card fee are important financial considerations.

For the most accurate and up-to-date information on rates, availability, specific lease terms (especially for month-to-month contracts), and a clear breakdown of all potential charges (including utilities and processing fees), it is imperative to contact Perryville RV Resort by Rjourney directly. It is highly recommended to get all terms, conditions, and billing structures clearly in writing before committing to any extended stay.

For Missouri locals, particularly those in the southeastern part of the state or passing through, Perryville RV Resort by Rjourney offers several compelling reasons for a visit, especially for shorter, seasonal stays. Its prime location directly off I-55 makes it an incredibly convenient and efficient stop for RVers, minimizing detour time and maximizing road trip efficiency. This accessibility is a major plus for those exploring various parts of Missouri or traveling across states.

Furthermore, its proximity to significant local landmarks like the Veterans Memorial and Vietnam Sister Wall adds cultural and historical value to a stay, appealing to those interested in more than just a place to park. The presence of a "nice pool" is a huge advantage, particularly for families with children, providing a vital recreational outlet during warmer months and enhancing the overall enjoyment of the stay. The generally level sites simplify the setup process for any RV, ensuring a more comfortable arrival.

While some reviews highlight potential challenges concerning off-season staffing, maintenance, and billing for longer-term stays, for short visits during the normal operating season, Perryville RV Resort by Rjourney can be a very pleasant experience. It offers essential amenities, a good location, and a family-friendly feature in the pool, making it a viable option for many Missouri RVers looking for a convenient and enjoyable stopover or a base for exploring Perryville's local attractions. Beware!!!! Sorry to all. I didn't realize that the good service is only covered during normal seasonal operation. Since Nov 1st, there is no permanent onsite staff. Hours of operation are limited to a few hours a day, like 12-3. The upper management refuses to hire enough people to maintain the campground properly. People got stranded in their campers from the last ice storm and roads were not maintained. Even police could not respond to calls due to road conditions. The upper management keeps tacking new charges every other month that no one agrees to or has notice of. If you don't pay you get booted. It took two weeks to get a tree crew in before falling branches and trees stopped causing damage . Power lines were draped across the road for two weeks. They will charge you for electric and water even if you haven't been there for a month. They claim it's a month to month contract and then you get an outrageous all in one bill for an entire period. They don't except checks and will charge 3.5% of your bill to use a credit card. By the time it's all said and done a small camper pays about $700/month on the low side to stay in a campground with no security or full-time personnel, at least one washer is always down, and you never know what your bill is going to be from month to month. When you try to leave if you don't give at least 30 day notice exactly, they go after you for the cost of another entire month to include water and electric. Update: I have been gone for two months and they are still trying to charge me for the current camper's utilities!!!

First time here. In the office season of November. My family has vampers that stay there year round. The check in was easy and painless. The locals that stay there are ridiculous. We have a small 10 pound dog that we clean up after every bathroom break. I cleaned up dog poop from our site when we got there. Then drive through it in our campsite with our truck again on the first night. The second night upon leaving or dog out there was large dog crap at our site again. Which I had to clean our shoes and rugs. We stayed in b3 up towards the front. People seem to not care about others enjoyment or privacy on their campsite

We have been here before. We like it a lot. We didn't care for the fact that in winter the office closes early. We had to call in the registration. The gentleman was very helpful. We never met with whom ever was in charge.

We stayed in black bear cabin for 5 days with 7 of us and also rented a golf cart. The cabin was very nice, clean, and had everything you would need except for bedding and toiletries. There were plenty of trees around to out up our hammocks. The staff were all super nice. Renting the golf cart was a great addition to our stay. The pool was so nice. Us girls spent a lot of time at the pool and the guys spent a lot of time fishing at the small pond. The park was nice, had a lot of shade, and was very quiet for the amount of people that were there. We will definitely come back if we are ever in the area.
