Affordable Standard Rates: Compared to some private campgrounds, USACE parks often maintain competitive and generally lower standard camping rates, providing inherent value for your outdoor experience.
First-Come, First-Served or Reservation System: While not a discount, the system for securing a site (which could be first-come, first-served or through a reservation platform like Recreation.gov) is typically transparent and publicly available.

Customer Reviews
We arrived in the Ozark area a day earlier than planned, so we did some planning on the fly. Between core of engineer and state park campgrounds there seemed to be a few options, we figured availability would be the challenge in summer. So we stopped at the first one on our route, even though there were no reviews and we weren't sure if it was day use or camping. It's both! It's a couple (paved) miles off the highway, we saw two little red fox and a deer. On a June Monday afternoon there were only two other sites were occupied. Camp host Mike was very friendly and helpful. A couple of sites could fit a 40 foot, might need to angle and work to level. Ground cover was mowed, paved interior roads, gravel sites. Two pit toilets, clean. Playground area. Day use and boat launch. The experience might be different on a busy weekend, but we would definitely stay here again.
Nice little park ,the boat launch is challenging if your not good reverse driver, good fishing in spring, camping is quiet here water is often stained an not good swimming
This is no longer a campground. Just day use. March 2025
Beautiful and peaceful spot. Great place for family camping
