Great camping area! We were last here over 30 years ago and were pleased to see that things have remained as undeveloped as ever. Beautiful area with sites all along the peninsula - most sites seem to be shaded & are fairly level. Water spigots & rest rooms are located throughout the sites. A dump site is also available. Great spots to cast a line to try your hand at fishing. If you're looking for a peaceful area, then this is the place for you!

Jul 21, 2025 · ClarkI began camping here in 1980. My children loved it. They are all grown and we will be there in July this year. I was there opening weekend. There are pit toilets and no showers but I keep going back for the peacefulness and beauty.
Jun 16, 2023 · Ellen ThompsonI have been coming to Bantam Lake since I was younger....almost 35 years!!! Been camping at Point Folly for twenty plus years since getting out of the Marines, and look forward to getting up there camping every year....multiple times. Have hosted large Veteran's and Family outings there for years and couldn't ask for a better place!!! Not a huge fan of campgrounds that have all the bells and whistles and pack everyone in like rats-----I feel people build more friendly and family bonds in a place like this!! It is "Rustic" camping but we have learned through the years how to 5 star camp!!! The staff are wonderful and stay on top of the upkeep of the sites and area. The regulars that go here are great, and really have formed a close bond through the years, and really look out for each other and are quick to give a hand when someone is in need of a little help!!! The greatest part of the camping experience here is by far Bantam Lake surrounds you!!! Nature abounds as it is part of the White Memorial Conservation Preserve, and you can see birds and wildlife you wouldn't normally see --------yes even some big ole black bears at times!!! There are beautiful birds and cute critters and even some very large fish and some very large reptiles.....not for the squeamish ---------but fascinating to see in their natural habitat!!! It makes camping that much more like camping of yesteryear!!! Here are what may be detractors for those that come here thinking they are camping in one of those cookie cutter campgrounds-------------the bathrooms are outhouse style with pit toilets, no showers, no hookups for power and water, no gameroom, no bar, no mini golf, no horseshoes,no reserving sites on line or over the phone, you have to go there and pick out a site and see if its available ------do you get the picture-----it's rustic--------and for those of us that have made it part of our summer lives, it's perfect!!! While you're there ------ keep an eye on the sky-------you never know what you may see hovering over the lake, zigzagging across the sky, or falling into the lake!!! And Beware the "Bantam Phantom"!!! Happy Camping!!!
Jul 28, 2018 · Russ aka Winders TemplingMy favorite place to be! No electricity or showers but they do have pit toilets, fresh drinking water and a small camp store. If you want a place for piece & quite this is it. The guys that work here are very kind and helpful & are always patrolling to make sure things are safe and calm.
